Savanna Breakfast & Lunch Lakeview — Restaurant in Lake View Township

First off, this is ONLY on the checking out experience that I give 1⭐️. I have been here before and all great. Sadly the staff isn’t properly trained on their point of sale equipment. I had a Birthday reward from Toast and our server didn’t understand what it was or how to redeem it. It has an easy barcode to scan and everything but he said he had no way to scan it but there a whole register system right by the door? But he kept saying he couldn’t do anything without the manager who wasn’t there. Which was sad since I went here for the Birthday experience and didn’t get the discount.

Then the other person I was with had his own $10 discount giftcard from north halsted business alliance. Also seemed confused. So we ended up both paying full price. The cost of the food/ quality is all good but this was disappointing since I lost my birthday deal. I would say if you are not going to give your staff power to apply discounts then the manager should be present.

This place which took over the old Nookie’s Tree spot. This will not disappoint as far as food. The flavors, portion size & quality at A+ Fast friendly service to seal the deal. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 I give this place a 5⭐️ on all other points! Jerry (the pigeon)...

I LOVED my first visit to Savanna. I didn't even know this place existed! It's a great brunch spot to hit before boozing in Boystown on the weekend.

I had a coupon for free French toast, and just look at the gorgeous presentation! I also bought a cuban sandwich and intended on taking half my food home, but ended up eating the entire lunch and half the French toast! It's also BYOB, and I ended up spiking my coffee with a little Bailey's.

The restaurant closed at 3 PM on Saturday when I went, and final seating is at 2:30. I had a few friends running late, and the staff were so patient and kind. They let me put an order in for two of my friends and let us stay to finish our food a little past 3 PM.

The food was incredible, the service was amazing, and everyone was so kind. The restaurant was very clean and the presentation was outstanding. I absolutely will be back and am so glad to have another favorite brunch spot! The prices are also incredibly fair...

My boyfriend and I went to Savanna for brunch this morning and had a really lovely experience. It was our first time there. I personally had a “Pancake Combo,” which is a classic cannot go wrong: eggs, potatoes, bacon, & pancakes. Super delicious and on point, and would never make all of that for myself! And we knocked back some absolutely divine OJ mimosas at the recommendation of our wonderful server, Vini, because why not? It is Saturday and we are enjoying the spell of fabulous weather in the city. I would definitely go back, if not for the comfort food (and the mimosas LoL), then also to see our server, Vini. He was so personable and energetic. In a time when things are often beyond depressing with the state of the world, Vini showed us a great time for our first time at Savanna, made us laugh, had great menu suggestions, and is super kind!
