As a guy who takes his donuts seriouslyāand I mean seriouslyāI was pretty pumped to finally try Stanās Donuts via Goldbelly. Iāve toured the donut greats coast to coast, from mom-and-pop counters to the cult favorites. So yeah, I had expectations.
The delivery? Nailed it. Showed up right on time. Packaging was tight. The donuts looked like they were ready for a photo shootāfresh, colorful, like they meant business.
But then I took a bite... and nothing. I tried the Coconut, the Birthday Cake, and the Vanilla Sprinkled. All three had the same issue: no flavor. They looked the part, but there was just no payoff. Like biting into a well-designed sponge.
I figured maybe it was just meābad taste day? I handed them off to a few friends. Same reaction: "These are pretty, but they donāt taste like anything."
And thatās the real letdown here. When you drop that kind of coin on shipping premium donuts across the country, you expect something memorable. Not just eye candy.
Bottom line: Great presentation, no substance. If youāre ordering through Goldbelly, Iād say keep looking. There are better donuts out there that actually taste...

She remembered how delicious their breakfast sandwiches were. It was double the cost of DD, but we thought for quality food it would cost more. Which at DD we could have bought 2 sandwiches, 2 hash brown and 2 coffee for half the cost at Stan's. We picked up our order and went back home to enjoy our Sunday morning breakfast. Once we settled in and opened our sandwiches we were both very disappointed with what we received. The sandwiches were tiny and looked no where near what it should have looked like in their photos. One staff member said something and I didnāt hear so I said āIām sorry?ā And got no response back. This location needs to take a day off to do service training and needs secret shoppers. Employees that Iāve seen donut š© want to work there.
Oooomph. Love that I have a local Stans but like a lot of people here the service is very bad.
