It was like 1:40 AM on a Tuesday morning and I was desperately seeking that real slice of pizza I was craving ( instead of grabbing a 7-Eleven slice that had been sitting around all day and ready to be thrown out,) since I first decided I wanted pizza for dinner, about 8 p.m. the Monday night before. And here I was checking out this place for the first time (And thanking God for answering my prayers of finding a pizza place still open at this hour of the morning at the beginning of the week,) thinking I was really going to be getting the comfort food that I was starving for ... And to my surprise, the enormous slice of that pizza pie I got for a really great price, was like... Idunno... Not tasting in anywhichwayshape or form the New York Style kind of Pizza I remember growing up with, but even worse, it tasted Really Awful... And I was so confused because it seemed like the locals sitting in this very tiny place with very tiny tables, seemed to be enjoying their tiny conversation and I would have figured that's why they were taking their tiny time eating their food as well. Looking on the bright side of things the cashier and the pizza makers were super nice and accommodating. But I can't get over how awful the pizza was. And you know like when you're really hungry you try to immerse yourself in the experience of what you're eating at the moment? Well I tried to do that and it didn't work. I even tried to take it a step further - I tried to dissect what was wrong with it; was it the sauce that didn't really taste like tomato sauce because it was really bland? Or was it the mozzarella cheese that didn't taste like, well, you would expect cheese to taste like. Actually I don't think the cheese had any flavor at all; and the bread, it was a general thick crust bread and even the crust that was slightly burnt - like how I like it to be - had a really weird flavor. All the ingredients were fresh but all put together, it didn't taste like a pizza. And you know when you're starving for something that you're used to eating and you're looking forward to it, you really notice what every bite tastes like., THIS wasn't it. And like I said, this was a really large pizza it was like 3 small pizza slices in one, so I had more than enough time to try to figure it all out with every bite. And if this pizza tasted anything like a pizza, this would have been my new favorite pizza place. BUT UNFORTUNATELY NOTHING ABOUT THIS "PIE" "TAKES THE CAKE." - but you know what maybe it's me, maybe it's just I've been living in Florida for way too long- No that can't be right either . 'Cause I really do have a couple of select old favorites pizza places that I go to. I guess I'm just not going back to JoJo's....
Read moreI thought About posting This review as I know how It can effect A Business. This place Came highly recommend by My boss so I’m new in town and Thought give it a try. I ordered The Chicken Wings with BBQ Sauce and the Carrot Cake. I ordered threw Uber Eats. I paid a Total of 31 dollars. Which is Fine but a bit pricey. Non the less, When It got here My wings were naked with NO sauce. I thought okay? Then when I went to go eat my Carrot cake I started choking. Like really choking. Had to Try drink water and Started throwing up. I managed to pull out a huge pice of Wax Paper and Immediately called the restaurant. The Woman said there wasn’t much she could do as they were closing and would leave a Note for the Manager the next day as they were closed the following day. I left my name and number and called the next opening day. The girl had no idea what I was talking about and left my name and number again. Now here’s where it gets interesting. Haven’t heard anything from anybody in 3 days I called again later that night and The girl said Yes”Mary, My manager right here” The guy got on the phone and Began to explain to me how I shouldn’t booked threw a third party because not much he can do at this point, And also Began to say He’s “Confused at the situation” I said What’s Re you confused about? He then said “ I’m confused on how you could choke on wax paper which we do use to separate the Cake, But it would be pretty noticeable, You didn’t see it?” WOW. I’m extremely disappointed in how this was handled and being dismissed. I simply said I’ll call Uber Eats and Hung the phone up. Poor Management and Extremely rude. Will never eat here again,...
Read moreI gave this place a 1 because I can't give it a 0. My husband and I ordered meatballs for $13.50. We have ordered from this place before, and the flavor was decent and the portions were quite plentiful. Early hours in the morning (December 29th), around 1 am (because they close around 2am), we received little bits and pieces of what seems to have been meatballs. We feel cheated because we gave our money for something that never arrived. We understand that it was late at night, but whoever took care of our order should have called to tell us that they didn't have the meatballs. Our info was on uber eats. The person responsible for our order should have indeed called and presented us with alternative options. We are highly disappointed and will not be ordering again from this place. We just got tomato sauce with remains of beef. I could have done...
