This beef tastes just as good as it did years ago. I had the Philly with everything plus bacon and sport peppers the last time I ordered it. It will be very filling. I cut it in half with kitchen shears at home. I did not want to eat all of it with the french fries. I have tried for many years to avoid having a pot belly. Their chefs do a great job with what they are given. This beef may taste better than a bad quality steak. The bacon was cooked in a very satisfactory manner. The beef juice is truly delicious. I've also had funnel fries here in the past; nobody else has these things, and they were good. The flavor of this meat hasn't changed throughout the years. The last time I ordered it, I got the Philly with everything extra bacon and sport peppers. It will be quite satisfying. At home, I used kitchen shears to split it in two. The portion with the french fries was too big for me to finish. I've made a lot of effort over the years to stay away from pot belly. Their chefs make excellent use of the ingredients they have. This beef might have a greater flavor than a subpar steak. The way the bacon was cooked was excellent. It's really wonderful, the meat juice. I've also ordered funnel fries here before, and they were delicious and the only...
Read moreGot my order wrong. Shifty guy at the drive-thru tried to keep all of my change.
I went there tonight (02/17/25) to get a bowl of chili and an order of fries. Whoever took my order correctly repeated what I ordered: a bowl of chili with cheese but no onions.
When I pulled up to the drive-up window, I saw that it was a covered drive-thru. I told the guy at the window (a grey haired grey bearded Santa Claus looking guy) that it was nice to have the covered area. He responded, "Yeah, but we get the cold air in here." Here's a tip: if I'm making chit chat with you, it's not to hear you complain about your job. Strike one.
My order was about 15 bucks. I paid in cash. When drive-thru guy was handing me my change, I told him to keep two dollars for the tip jar. He started putting all my change in the tip jar. I said, "Keep two". He kept going for the tip jar. "Keep two". "Oh, right. Didn't mean to get greedy." No, he just thought he was being sly. I'm an old man. I've seen enough of this "who me?" behavior to recognize it when I see it. Strike two.
I got home and was at least looking forward to my chili. Until I took the lid off and saw that there were onions in it. Strike three.

Read moreSo a customer brought Franks, Fries, and Italian Sausages to us (working) on the 4th of July, from BellaLukes, in LZ, on 12. The fries were super thin, yet soft. The food was great. I had to have it again! This visit: Hot Dog with the works, was delicious as was the Fries. Zee pickle was a little more white than I like, still having that crunch & juiciest bite. My partner in crime, had the "Half Turkey Sub" that was ginormous! We upgraded for $0.80 to LG fries... we couldn't finish it... the only downside was the Turkey was hot. Wish it was stated, on the menu. Still a good sub, but might have picked something like Chilli Chicken Wrap. We kicking the soda cravings, so BellaLukes has Great Combos of Protein & Potato; i.e.: dog & fries. Going back for more: Tuna on Crossiant; only Friday & Saturday. Funnel fries - always in season. Next time there is a festival at Paulus Park, we will start here,...
