A Masterclass in Cosmic Letdowns
Ah, Gravitea Boba — where style meets space… and service disappears into a wormhole.
The first thing you’ll notice when you walk in is the decor. It’s fun, it’s fresh, it practically screams “We care!” — which is adorable, because that’s exactly where the caring ends.
I ordered a simple drink. Just one. Nothing fancy. Thirty minutes later, after watching three staff members orbit the register like lost satellites, I received a cup of something that might once have been tea. I say “might” because it had the flavor profile of lukewarm dishwater sweetened with regret. The boba was mushy, like it had been cooked last fiscal quarter.
And don’t even get me started on the owner. Word on the street (and by street, I mean the folks who tried to get paid for goods and services) is that invoices are treated like customer complaints: ignored with gusto. It’s a bold business model — running a tea shop powered entirely by unpaid labor and unfulfilled potential.
In short: if you like aesthetic over substance, stale tapioca, and supporting ethically challenged management — you’ve found your spot.

Read moreThe drinks here are pretty good and the shop itself is clean and nicely decorated, but my experience was completely overshadowed by what I witnessed while ordering.
As I walked in, I saw, what I can only describe as a grown man—presumably the boss or manager—screaming at a teenage employee. She was explaining how she couldn’t lift this extremely large container of sugar syrup, and instead of helping her or listening, he berated her in front of customers. I heard things like, “Can you do anything right?” and “You can’t even do your job,” plus other snarky remarks, which was honestly really upsetting. She looked embarrassed and overwhelmed.
There’s absolutely no excuse to speak to someone that way—especially a young worker who’s just trying to do her job. It made the entire environment uncomfortable, and I don’t think I’ll be coming back unless I know the staff is being treated with the respect...
Read moreMe and my brother went to this boba shop and had a great experience!! I have a mild milk allergy and am always a bit scared to try new places due to how often I end up sick and dizzy from contaminated food/drinks. I got a taro+matcha milk tea with tapioca pearls and oat milk, the drink came out perfect!! No allergic reaction, and tasted fantastic!! Not too sweet and full of flavor!! There were some board games and card games around, the atmosphere was beautiful and cozy. Perfect for a date or hangout, family friendly. There was even some coloring pages and paint that would be perfect for kids. Staff was super friendly and checked up on. Definitely going here...
