Very disappointing. Lesson learned: $72.85 could have been spent better and spent somewhere else. Not worth the experience or the price. Felt cheated. We ordered the $21 seafood salad that came out as a hot soup with tons of liquidy-sauce that had the weirdest combination of flavors, the cooked cucumbers really threw me off. In the picture posted, the “salad” is in a deep dish bowl, the sauce almost fills up the whole bowl. Seafood meat was maybe 10 pieces total. Everything else in the bowl was liquid and vegetables. Chicken fried rice tasted only of greasy big onions and greasy big cubes of carrots with the greediest portions of chicken. For $14 on fried rice, you’d think there would be more than a few pieces of chicken. Coconut shrimp was more like a whole shrimp split into two pieces, very thin and lots of breading. The menu has it as 5 pieces for $9, but you’re really getting 2 whole pieces of shrimp cut in half and another half of a shrimp. Shrimp spring roll looks beautifully plated, it was probably the only acceptable item we ordered. Taste was okay, but then again, there are better tasting spring rolls at other restaurants that do not cost $9 per order. Even the most basic and most well-known item, egg roll, was a failure. $8 for an order of tasteless egg roll that barely had any filling. Inside was very hollow, we had to question if there were any meat inside of the egg roll. Mango boba tea flavor was watered down, not flavorful like other places. Make a drive out to TiiCup in Burnsville and you’ll know what I’m talking about.

Pleasant little place to stop by! Relatively small environment but was still plenty enjoyable with good food. I personally really like how the menu isn’t overly daunting. It’s relatively small which makes it easier to make decisions. I tried the salmon basil for my first ever dish here—it was certainly interesting not in a bad way. I don’t think it’s quite to my taste, but that’s just personal preference. I still cleaned the plate regardless. The taro milk tea’s serving is very cute almost over the top haha. The waitresses were super nice and checked in on me often to make sure I was doing alright. Really good experience for my first time and I’ll be back. Only con I do wanna mention is the smaller seating area and that it can be a bit crowded—along with the seats not exactly being A grade comfort. Small cons-but I figured I should mention.

This was our first time at Joy’s Thai Lakeville and we will definitely be back there. Awesome experience of Thai food. And I dare say it could be the best Thai food I’ve had in a long time. Definitely near Twin Cities. Friendly and courteous service. Clean atmosphere. Spacious seating. Great for families and friends. Good enough parking. (We had to park a little farther due to common parking lot for the strip mall) Ah-mazing food! We ordered an appetizer, and 2 mains. They did not disappoint a bit. Crab rolls were simply awesome I started and finished with the starter. Tom Yum soup was warm and absolutely yummy! And their very special drunken noodles (their famous dish) was super satisfying. Best Thai food we had in a long time! Definitely recommended! Go eat at Joy’s Thai!

his was quite possibly the worst experience I have had at a restaurant, and I was only getting takeout. I ordered dinner for my family around 4.30 pm and was told it would be ready in 20 minutes, standard. I love Thai food and have been to many, but this one is the closest to my house. I had been there a couple other times and the Pad Thai was sweet so I asked them if they could make the Pad Thai 2 out of 5 spicy and the same for my wife's dish. We also got some appetizers. When I got there I paid and was given one bag to take home. When I got home I realized only the appetizers were in that bag. 20 minutes after I left I showed back up to grab the second bag that was not handed to me the first trip. After 5 minutes of arguing if I had already paid, mind you this is the same person I paid 20 minutes prior, I was allowed to take my food home. I got home and gave my daughter some of my noodles, she likes things spicier than I do, and she started screaming because of how spicy it was. I tasted it and had the same reaction, it was the spiciest thing I have ever tasted. My wife's dish was also overly spicy so we called to reiterate that their definition of 2 out of 5 was a bit much so could we get it remade. Sure they said, come on by and bring the food we didn't like and pick up fresh food. Now we are 1.5 hours from when we ordered. She wanted me to taste it before I left, which I did. The Pad Thai was sweet, not just a little bit, but like they dumped a cup of that pink sweet and sour sauce on the noodles, disgusting, and not what I ordered. I told her that I wanted it 2 out of 5 and she said that isn't what I ordered, then how come it was spicy last time? She continued to argue with me about how it was my mistake not their mistake. I asked her if she would just give me my money back and she said she would not. I left and made dinner for my daughter, but will never go back here and hope no one else ever had to experience this level of poor service. Given that there were no other customers at the restaurant during this 2 hour affair I am sure there will be a better establishment in...

Beware if you are vegan. Basil Fried Rice is marked on the menu as able to be made vegan. I ordered online and clearly wrote "please make vegan" in the notes. After opening my food when I got home, I saw there was scrambled egg in my meal. I called immediately. I was told that it was my fault, that I had ordered incorrectly, I didn't write "no eggs" and that only noodle dishes can be made without egg. Why would you CLEARLY mark an item on your menu as " can be made vegan", when it can't be? After much struggle on the phone and being blamed for the mistake, I thought I was told they would remake my food. Not the case.

When I got there I was once again told it was my fault, and that I ordered incorrectly. I showed the email which showed my note asking for it to be made vegan. The person at the FOH took my phone to show my email to the person cooking. Then she asked me why I hadnt brought my food back if it was wrong? As if I was lying and trying to get a free meal. Finally I was told they could remake my meal and that next time I should order the noodles. I could hear the yelling LOUDLY from the kitchen.

The real kicker is that I had ordered the same meal two days before with no issue and no eggs.

I will never be back, not because of the mistake, but because of how truly awful the customer service was in response to a mistake...
