Anthony's Pizza & Pasta — Restaurant in Lakewood

Had heard this place was good. That Certainly was NOT my experience. My son was in hospital and wanted some pizza instead of hospital food. I ordered 2 slices of pepperoni pizza and something THEY called Sicilian pizza. The "Sicilian" (NOT) pizza was burned on the bottom beyond use and it had some tiny ground up stuff scattered over the top that just fell off when trying to eat it. The pepperoni slices were soaked in grease that even leaked out of the box over everything it touched. I lived in Sicily for about a year. What Sicilians called Sicilian pizza was somewhat like a Calzone, but full pizza size with crust on both sides of a lot of 'topping" that was actually inside. What I received from this place was a very thick soft crust with my selected ingredients chopped up (or ground) into tiny pieces (which quantity must have totaled about 3 level tablespoons) that seemed to have been scattered over the burned crust after it was cooked, (correction, not cooked, but burned). When I picked it up to try to eat it, all the toppings just fell off. I have had a lot of pepperoni pizza, but this was the first time it was swimming in grease, completely saturated in grease, making even the crust soggy. What a total waste of time and money going...

I will never order from here again. Clarissa should be fired. Better customer service at Pizza Hut or dominos. First time I ordered from these people Clarissa forgot to add a fork with my Cesar salad. I called back asking if the delivery driver could bring me a fork on his next run. Clarissa said no I should have told them I needed a fork for my to go order. I was forced to order a whole other meal just to get a fork. The manager page was told the story and felt bad. Later that night the delivery driver came back and gave me $10 on a $14.50 order just to get a fork.

Today I placed an order for two Cesar salads salads. Through the same girl Clarissa. She internationally messed up the order. Sending me two dry Cesar salads with nothing that I had ordered on them, didn't include a single salad dressing, and once again not a single fork to eat the salads with. Page the manager then defended Clarissa the phone girl in that she wouldn't mess up the order on purpose. When it's very obvious that the order was messed up intentionally. Hopefully the phone conversation was recorded. Anthony pizza lost a soild...

TJ the counter was very rude, disrespectful & unpleasant! First impressions are everything & it was my first time eating at this establishment. I asked if they has single slice servings and or lunch specials. He rudely said "yeah right in the middle of top menu" to which I was oh, ok. Upon looking I was confused as to how to order as I didn't see specials as to where he directed me & told me " you're looking at the top". I felt very rushed & just ordered without toppings. I went right back to add toppings & he directed me to back of line as other customers according to him had been waiting, wrong... they had just walked in. Tj is why customers wouldn't go back and lady behind me said she was happy I said something as she was also a first time customer as well. Food was good with the exception of pepperoni was undercooked. Tj wasn't personable or friendly for being the first contact. Gave 1 star as my first impression & visit! Will try a...
