My wife and I decided to visit our neighborhood Applebee's again after having a couple of bad experiences with this location in the earlier part of the year. We used to love coming here for the good food and great service in the past years. Well we did not have any luck again. We were promptly greeted and seated and handed menus. We ordered the pretzels and they were great. We also ordered the hand battered the fish and chips and the Club House Grill. We asked if they could please add a slice of fresh red onion to the sandwich. After about ten minutes the server announced that they did not have the fish and chips. We understand that that happens so we decided to share the Club House grill platter. After about thirty minutes the platter came out and the sandwich looked like it had been under heat lamps for quite a while. The tomato and lettuce was hot and wilted and the mayo had made the bun soggy with mayo seeping through the bread. They forgot about the onion and the worst was the fries were oil soaked and cold. We brought this to the attention to the very friendly waiter and he could see the problem. We asked again for the onion and fries that we normally love could be warm or better hot if possible . We were really hungry at this stage. After about ten minutes our poor sandwich looked really soggy with mayo. The server appeared and handed us chunks of onion instead of slices you would expect to place on a sandwich. Oh and he forgot the fries. We told him that the meal was ruined after this amount of time and we just wanted to send it back. He agreed and served us with a bill and walked away. We were surprised there was no follow up or any management or concern, after all there was only five couples in the entire restaurant. How can they not accomplish a sandwich or attempt to simply take care of a problem right the first time. We understand things happen but what did happen to my neighborhood AppleBee's! AND PLEASE DO NOT ASSOCIATE THIS WITH THE PANDEMIC. UPDATE: I called the district managers phone number that was printed at the bottom of the receipt the next day and left our information including our phone number. We never received a call back or inquiry on our experience. That explains a lot of the issues that our family experienced that have never been addressed. I ordered a sandwich & fries for curbside pickup using my iPhone app. I paid for the order when I placed it using my credit card.
When I get to the restaurant a couple of minutes before the scheduled pickup time, I get a text message saying that they knew I had arrived and that my food would be out shortly.
I wait another 20 minutes at the curbside parking, no food. I call the restaurant and ask what is going on. The girl says she didn't know that I was there and they'll bring my now cold order out to me.
She comes out with the food, 20 minutes late, and tells me I need to pay for it. I told her I already paid for it and I wasn't going to pay twice for a now cold order. She gives me the food and I head home.
A minute later while driving home with my cold food, I get a call from someone in the restaurant accusing me of theft for not paying for the food. I told her that I did pay for the food when I placed the order and I'm not paying for it twice. You can't place an online order and not pay for it. If she got the order, she got the payment.
When I get home with my cold sandwich and soggy fries, I put the order on the kitchen table and I call the store, and asked to talk to the manager. I checked the app, and it recorded that I did pay and showed the last 4 digits of my credit card. The manager gets on the line and explains that their computer was acting weird and the tech people were there now looking at a problem. She indicated that she could tell that I had paid for the order and confirmed the last 4 digits of the credit card I used to place the order. She offered me a refund or a store credit. I asked for a refund. My food was cold soggy by now and I was accused of theft by two of her employees. She said she would refund the amount to my credit card. She said that her employees were new and didn't know what they were doing. I suggested she better train and supervise them.
After dealing with this nonsense on the phone, I went to eat my food and the dog had stolen it off the table.
Overall, it was one of the worst experiences I've ever had ordering a carryout meal in my life. I'll never order from Applebees again.

Read moreVisited Applebee's on Sunday afternoon 12/16/2018 We walked in stood at the door for a minum of 4-5 minutess without one acknowledgement we were even there! We decided to seat ourselves and we went to the North side of the bar where the seats are. Again no acknowledgement whatsoever! A minum of 2 serves walked by without even any eye contact. So I decided to walk to the bar, and ask the bartender if he could help us out, lol 😂 Well that didn't happen either he was too busy talking to one of his customers about how great his old job was at a wing joint! REALLY? So my girlfriend and I were about to walk out when a server greeeted us FINALLY!! So after close to 10 minutes of waiting and watching everyone walk around in a daze we finally had someone at our table to ask for our drinks, well my girlfriends soda came right away as I waited 6 minutes to to get my beer!! Then we get another server to take our order, I asked if they gave military discount she said yes. We then proceeded to order the (2) for $20.00 I ordered the riblets, and the girlfriend ordered the Cheese burger I had to ask for extra napkins twice, and the girlfriend waited for a refill on her soda for several minutes... Once we were done eating and put some of our food in a to go box Lauren brought over my bill. I noticed she didn't give me the military discount, and charged me for a riblet platter which I did not order!! I brought it to her attention and she adjusted the bill accordingly!! It has been a couple years since I have been been in that Applebee's, location, and it looks like it will be a long long time before I go back to that Applebee's location!!
