Crazy Delights La Michoacana — Restaurant in Lakewood

Let's face it. Even if it's chilly outside, it's always time for ice cream. Finding both of these promos, my mood went into ice cream mode. Creamy Delights has many options - milk-based ice cream, water-based ice cream (aka sorbet), paletas (popsicles), bionicos etc.

After a quick run through of all the ice cream flavors, I knew right away I wanted guanabana & mamey.

Mamey is a fruit originating in Central & South America. The taste is that of a mildly sweet pumpkin/sweet potato pie. The scoop of dairy-based ice cream was smooth, and fortunately, not too sweet. Very good.

Guanabana (aka soursop), also has origins in Central & South America. It has a great combination of sugar to acidity. The scoop of sorbet was refreshing, some guanabana fibers with each spoonful, but not in an objectional way. Guananbana seeds were also present for decor. Careful, don't eat!

Service was good. The young woman behind the counter was a little confused with the promos, but sorted things out quickly. Crazy Delights has quite a large interior, with several tables to dine at. I believe the location formerly housed a vitamin/supplement store. Parking is via a shared lot at the Hobby Lobby plaza.

I was quite impressed with Crazy Delights. They had more than the standard fare of flavors go, and having promos to redeem will make it difficult not to make more visits than I should. You should definitely...

On the 22nd of August 2025 at 5pm . There was a lady who identified herself as the shift manager, but she was very rude and spoke down to customers.she came to serve me and I had politely asked her for help removing the paper that often gets stuck to the bottom of a waffle cone. I pointed at the cone I wanted to purchase and she almost slapped my hands off the cone, and her response was unnecessarily insulting. Telling me “why would I do that for you ,you have to buy it like that, you will wait a very long time if you want someone else to serve you”

I believe that talking to people kindly and respectfully goes a long way, especially in customer service. Unfortunately, her lack of courtesy and decorum created a very negative experience.

I’ve been here a handful of times and usually enjoy the experience. Their menu is expansive and everything I’ve tried had been delicious. However, the young lady that helped me this afternoon was incredibly rude! She grew impatient when I asked for samples because I wanted to try new flavors. It was a bit embarrassing because I also decided to bring my mom along this time for her first experience. The young lady snapped at us and said “this will be your last sample!”. I actually ended up getting almost every flavor I sampled. She then rushed us to the cash register and proceeded to apologize to the customers after us for the wait, as if we weren’t waiting before we were eventually served ourselves!
