California Pizza Kitchen at Lakewood — Restaurant in Lakewood

I loved this branch of CPK, and we have encountered many great servers at this branch… HOWEVER, just this Saturday we experienced a terrible service that this CPK has offered by the MALE SERVER WORKING AT THE BAR. Not one to be very picky, but his attitude did not match with his role of being waiter: a listener, and the characteristics of being attentive and flexible. He kept rushing everywhere and seemed annoyed/irritated and IMMENSELY impatient when we were ordering or would ask for something because he had other things to do. It’s as if he had no time in his day to attend to customers, which is so ironic.

Once I would order one entree, it’s as if he wanted to just get the words out of my mouth as he kept rushing and rushing, like he had to attend something else right away. Not only that, it seemed as if he just wanted you to finish your meal right away, the minute we sat down. Then once he would bring us our food, he would quickly leave before asking if we needed something. I’ve seen this restaurant be busy before, but today it wasn’t packed so his actions were very disappointing. To add, not only am I writing this due to my negative experience with him, but I would not be shocked if he treats other customers this way as well. Seems like he does not even want to serve, wow. He has been a waiter of ours at least twice and we were never satisfied by him, and I am so surprised that he still has his job at this branch.

Really a shame that the managers allowed this or allowed one of their workers to act this way, or in fact, even keep a worker like this since the managers at this branch are so efficient and seem to try to give their best work for...

This CPK is always nice, clean and such a friendly atmosphere. Today wasn't the greatest day for me and these awesome ladies made it Better. Molly came and opened the door with a smile @ the take out section. She asked me how was my day on the spot. ( She could've just said hi and kept it pushing) So freaking pleasant. Her ora exudes flowery positive all over the place vibes. (Ppl appreciate that!!!) Ashley took my order Sweet & patient. She was loving on Thor while he was peeking on the side of the counter. Molly came to me with a very sweet Gesture while in the process of multi-tasking a little problem with a plate and took care of it immediately. Observing that let's me know that they take care of their coustomers. Another employee asked me if my puppy wanted water. I was in awwwww. Then out of no where a lady in blue approaches & while also loving on Thor, informed me that pets are allowed to eat in the out door area of the restaurant per Management. The kind lady Jackie was management!!! I can't say even due to having Thor with me I was getting special attention because of his 😍. I come in here I didn't know Molly's name @ the time but her positive vibes have not changed. Ms. Jackie helped me & Thor to the car, with my food (which she did not have to do) out of the kindness of her heart! And she gave me some special tips on my knee. LOL. I'm raving about the service, I haven't even talked about my meal. Fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp & Butter cake. All was good. Once again Thank you so...

Highly disappointed in my last visit at this establishment. I too work at the Lakewood mall and come here often on my lunch breaks. Can’t remember the name of the bar tender but it was the Hispanic gentleman who is usually the one tending the bar when I’m there. I can honestly say he probably needs a little help on the customer service side but hey I eat I leave and I still put a 20% tip always. This particular visit however was not ideal. I had sat at the bar, it was a Friday night, I get it I work at the same mall so I know it can get busy. But when a couple of patrons who sat after me (maybe 4/5 minutes) get served the complimentary bread and get their drinks already, I had yet to get even a simple “ hello” or “I’ll be with you in a sec”. Not one acknowledgment. I just stood up and asked for a manager (mind you I have never in my 40 years of life ever asked for a manager) I was helped by Jackie/Jacky and she was super nice. Even offered a pizza to be given to me at my workplace since it’s in the same mall. I didn’t want anything free, I just felt it needed to be addressed. I had wasted 15 minutes of my lunch break. Only to go back to work on an empty stomach. I was gonna leave it as is but when I told my coworkers about my experience they too shared the same experience with said bar tender/employee, so I had to vent my frustration over a google review. So if you’re gonna dine here, just get waited on, don’t bother...
