Free Red Robin Yum! makes me.................have a physiological response in my pants
BIRTHDAY MONTH=BIRTHDAY COUPONS=HAPPY RODNEY
Free burger & bottomless fries (Red Robin's Finest Burgers not included)
Ever since the Red Robin at the Los Cerritos Center closed, I thought the next nearest location was in Cypress. Searching online, I noticed there was a Red Robin at the Lakewood Mall, which I never knew. I suppose it's because there is no mall entrance, only on the outside on the Lakewood Blvd. side. And, that I also rarely visit the Lakewood Mall. Hankering for a free burger, I shuffled my way in for some lunch time grub.
Guacamole bacon burger w/ bottomless steak fries- My go-to for my last several birthday month rewards, the guacamole bacon burger does not disappoint. Seemingly a little smaller than previous years, the flavor & taste is on point. I order mine lettuce-wrapped, as I try to avoid bread whenever possible. The bottomless steak fries are starchy heaven, having a fluffy inside surrounded by a crunchy exterior. A little hot sauce, a little mustard & it's carb-loading time! 2 refills & I was down for the count.
Service was great! My attendant was quick to ring up my loyalty card & take care of the birthday month promo. My soda waters were refilled in a timely manner & it was only a short wait for more steak fries.
Ample seating, via booths, tables & at the bar. Parking is at the Lakewood Mall, on the Lakewood Blvd. side.
Red Robin, please don't ever get rid of and/or change your birthday month promo. I see more & more chains changing their free promos to BOGO. I relish the fact that at Red Robin, I can come in & consume a free burger & bottomless steak fries, and simply leaving tip before I head out. I've been happy with all the burgers I've had thus far, and can't wait till next August rolls around & my loyalty card is loaded with another free burger offer.

Read moreLove Red Robin burgers, so my sister and I were excited to come for the National Cheeseburger Day deal: $10 for the Gourmet Cheeseburger with bottomless side.
Food/drinks: Our burgers were great as always, our drinks were delicious, and my extra crispy garlic fries were fantastic. However, my sister's Yukon chips weren't good; they were not crispy or crunchy, more like that stale kind of soggy crisp, if you know what I mean. We were very disappointed with those, especially since it was our first time trying it.
Service: Well, our service started off fine, but our waitress ended up being irritating by the end of the evening. I don't even know where to start... when I told her that the machine kept logging me out after I logged in to my royalty account, she kept saying that I was signing out, but I said I didn't and that every time I tap into it to look at it, that I would have to login again. Whatever, she could just go through the register instead of the machine on our table. When she got our check, my free appetizer from my royalty account wasn't applied, so I told her and she took down my number to put in, and i obviously saw her roll her eyes as she walked away like we were making problems over her mistake, but then she returned without a corrected itemized check, and she had charged my sister's card without applying the royalty number correctly again. When we waited for her to return so we could address it, she was clearly avoiding coming back to us, so we ended up going to the manager to help us correct it because we were done dealing with her by that point.
Atmosphere: Overall, the atmosphere was good and typical of Red Robin. We had a great time up until the issues arose with our waitress. The manager was very nice and helpful, and had a smile on every time we saw...
Read moreThese burgers were delicious! They were full and busy but we didn’t wait more than 2 minutes for a booth. We ordered the buffalo wings as an appetizer, they were a little bit spicy but also vinegar-y in the best way. They sat on top of potato chips and carrots. Who doesn’t love raw carrots and ranch dressing? So happy with the appetizer! We ordered the bacon cheese smashed avocado burger and it tasted like a typical delicious yummy and fresh burger. The side was bottomless garlic fries which were so good we took advantage of the bottomless part! We also ordered the whiskey bbq burger, it tasted like an upscaled Western Bacon Cheeseburger which is one of my favorites anyway so I loved it. Drinks were a Corona and Lemonade, with a refill on the lemonade. I liked but then I’ve never had a bad experience at Red Robin which is why I always come back when I’m craving those amazing fries and a really good burger. Their servers are quick and friendly.
Only downside was an employee swung a high chair, hit my friend on the leg pretty hard, looked at him and his grimace of pain and didn’t come back to at...
