It's awesome they have the Beyond Tacos and now they can make a burrito with the same. But you have to order it in their specialty buritos...We happened to go for lunch when it was busy...IF you're vegan forget going when it's busy...Me and my daughter are vegan...we went during lunch the restaurant was full we were in line. Being that we are VEGAN we have an allergy to meat n dairy. I know Non - vegans just don't understand this but if we eat anything with dairy or meat we have a reaction to it.. If cheese or meat gets into our food or even just contaminates by being on it or in it and we eat it we can get very sick. I mean like Deathly sick ! Somewhat like with food poisoning throwing up and everything else it's not pretty! I'm so certain that they didn't take off the gloves to make our food & used the same glove that they were touching all the cheese to put in the other food they were making...I didn't think to ask them to use a seperate glove so I'm sure that's how our food got contaminated...they grabbed the lettuce tomato and avacado with the same glove from cheese on our food. We both ate our tacos...and when we started to eat the burrito we were not impressed at all. But even before we could finish it we both started to not feel well. We wrapped it thinking we were just full and left. My daughter started before me about 35 min she got so SICK. I was a little longer so we didn't realize it was the food it took me about an hour and then BAM my turn. I experienced it worse than her though... I've had the Beyond Taco before but I had ordered it at an off time when I was the only one in the restaurant so I did not get sick that time. I will not be going back when it's busy that's for sure !! I thought I was going to DIE and to eat a taco its just not worth it ! Not only by getting sick was it not worth it I dont think paying a price for a specialty burritto is worth a regular one. There was nothing special about the 7 layer burrito !! For one it really doesn't have 7 layers we ordered 1 Beyond taco and one 7 layer burrito each. We had to ask to remove cheese and sour cream in the 7 layer. So we basically paid for a regular burrito with avacado. This is what our burrito had 1.Beyond meat stuff 2. Beans 3. Avacado...that's 3 items ! Even for those who leave the cheese and sour cream that only gives 5...where's the 7??? Do the count the actual tortilla as 1 item? And if so that's still 6 !...but the price didn't reflect a burrito with avacado...we paid about $4.50 each. Why can't these people serve food appropriate to price anywhere we go? I'm so tired of ordering less food and paying higher prices !! This makes no...
Read moreDid not even want to give a star but had to for my comment to be written. I was on lunch break had 2 coupons went through the drive window to order and told the kid I had coupons and he said would have to show him then took my order. Nothing said about 1 coupon per order or customer. Drive to window and give my cash and coupons and he said could only use one so let them know it was 2 orders any way to cancel and make 2 orders he called the manager over and so I explained that it was 2 orders told the kid had coupons plural he said nothing. So I let her know she could cancel and make 2 orders and she canceled and put in the 1st order then said she would not acept nmy money and refused service. I asked if she would just add rest of order so I could get my food due to on lunch did not care was not going to argue over 2 dolls due to she had my $20 in hand and she said no and she got the phone to call police. So I went in to try and get my food with out any coupons and the other staff wanted to get me my food and she yelled at them. So I asked for numbers and all I got was the bottom of someone's receipt with the card info and and an other paper with a number to the store and a name. This was the worst service ever in 40 years of life. I would hate to have to tell them the order was wrong to get treated this way if got this treatnent just wanted to get food. The bad thing is I had my mother on the phone and she heard everything and could not believe the treatment. If the bosses don't look in to the reviews they may want to start. The right to refuse service is for when people are totally out of line not for the employee to misunderstand the customer and not communicate properly back. This locarion needs help and if not given soon will lose alot for those who read...
Read moreI drove a good way out of my way because Del Taco was the only Company open that sells burgers. But I was told they don't sell Burgers this late? It was like 10pm. Is this true?! I understand not serving breakfast after the morning. But not selling burgers at night? That is so weird to me. But if it's a genuine policy I'll gladly take down the review. My gut told me this is a "the ice cream machine is down" moment. But if I'm wrong let me know and I'll negate the review. I couldn't find anything online about Del Taco not serving burgers at night. But if ya do, that's fine. If ya don't, ya might want to have a talk with your drive thru staff. I got the distinct impression that everyone in line was seriously inconveniencing them for having the audacity to order food. They were even turning away people unless they had cash. Which, again....if they legitimately couldn't process cards at the time....no big deal!
But if that's not the case, as a business owner, I would want to know my employees are turning away business with bogus excuses - out of laziness. But hopefully they weren't and everything was kosher. If this burger policy is legit and the CC processing really was down, I will gladly take down the review. I feel bad for the employers right now. They used to gripe about the laziness and entitlement of my generation. Ha. These days it's almost impossible to get a drive thru operator that can even fake polite instead of rushing you through your order and making you feel like a bother. Never thought I'd hear myself complaining about the drive thru industry going downhill. But legit...it has. And the only difference is being able it fake nice for 30 second interactions. It's called customer service, not...
