El Pulgarcito III — Restaurant in Lakewood

I’ve been here so many times and it used to be so good. The food is probably still is amazing. However, the service was absolute crap today. I get that when you’re busy things fall through the cracks, but I’ve never walked out of a restaurant the way that I had to today. We ordered our food at 3:27 according to our receipt and told to go to a certain table. We got to the table and it was not bussed. Waited a few minutes for someone to acknowledge us and finally come over and clean it off. Got one of the 2 plates of food about 25 to 30 minutes later. With no hot sauces and told they’ll be back in a moment with the other food and sauces. So I put the cabbage on top of mine thinking the hot sauce would be right out. It took almost another 15 minutes for them to finally bring the hot sauce out. By that time my food was cold and soggy. Mind you, my sister still has not even received her food. When I bit into my food, I found out it was actually my sisters. But now that I put the cabbage and hot sauce all over them she’s allergic. When I try to complain to the waitress about the situation, I started to say that we’ve been sitting there for 15 minutes, and before I could finish my sentence letting her know 15 minutes without the sauces after I’ve already received the first plate making them soggy, she cut me off to tell me “well it’s a 25 to 30 minute wait for food right now”. At that point, my sister just asked for a refund so we could just go and she looked at us like a deer in the headlights. We ended up walking out without any food or a refund purely out of frustration at that point. All in all, we just wasted 45 minutes of our life on a lunch we never had. Will not be back. Well, i tried it again and yeah. Im done with this place. They got my order wrong and shorted us on sides. I tipped 30% thinking the order was done correctly. Ill never go back again. Ive been going there for years and they used to be good. This place has good food but the service sucks. I have been going for years and they still keep outdated policies. Like I ordered 3 tamales and all I asked for was a little Tapatio on the side and they refused to give me any. They stated they have a sauce they make but I don't like it. All I wanted was a bit of Tapatio. I won't be giving them my money again. Also whan you order 4 pupusas they give you 1 small curtido/cabbage I ordered 8 pupusas and wanted and the extra curtido. They refused to give us that too. It costs them less that 10 cents to make me happy and I would kept on going to eat there but now I won't go back. I've decided to edit my review and give them a 1 star. I went back to them and ordered tamales and their tamales have a whole chicken leg! It is disgusting. Tamales are not supposed to have bones! I will never eat...

Terrible service. T+0: I order to go and the server says it will be a 15-20 minutes. I notice a man who’s been waiting forever his food in front of me. T+20: I come back and a server asks what I order then says my order is on the way. T+30: A different waiter asks what I order and I tell them. They go to the kitchen. Meanwhile the man in front of me looks just a as helpless. T+40: A different server asks what I order. They say they lost my order ticket so I show them my receipt and tell them what I ordered. Shortly after a woman comes in asking for her online order. Dark forces have lost her order receipt as well. T+ 55: A server brings my order and forgets the drink. The man in front me looks wistfully at my food bag. T+ 60: I get my drink and finally leave the purgatory line, escaping without apology or compensation. The man in front me now knows he will never leave the establishment with food. T+70: I arrive at my residence to find my order is wrong. T+80: I enter the gates of heaven welcomed by bubble tea...
