Five Guys — Restaurant in Lakewood

It's been a tough week let's start there my birthday is in 4 days which happens to be a funeral for my family member on the same day talk about blessings 🙌🏽 so I called at 940 they said the can't do the call in order so I high tale it an get there at 947 having a good old fashion five guy burger was on my list. I walked in an read the room the people by the fryer looked upset all looking at one gurl in the front I told them how far I came an I tip well after the awarkard stare downs the gurl says sure I'll take your order there was one guy particularly in the back that was given a look that could kill so not want to disturb the milkshakes they were making for each orther I opt to just leave an head to apple bees I tears in my eyes all I want was a burger that I didn't have to cook I'm a hard working mom take care of everyone just wanted something for me came all the way from dupont. I wish they would have been a little more welcoming my birthday is already uncelabrated because of the funeral just want that comfortable food to cry alone with but couldn't even get that with out drama. All I can say is you never know what someone is going thru kindness goes a long way not the death stare never...

My friend kept raving about Five Guys for months. So I decided to go and grab something. I walked and saw how nice and bright it is. Appears clean and spacious. When I got to the counter to order the cashier was polite. I didnt order a drink because a regular drink was almost $3. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger with the works (no charge), that was almost $10 and the fries were almost $5. So for $15 I feel like I've had better for less. The fries were hot, fresh and good. Cooked to perfection. But the burger, was hella basic in its taste. Hamburger meat had no flavor, bacon wasn't crispy, cheese was mostly at the bottom of the burger. And I'll never get the "works" again because all it did was make the buns soggy at the ends. I really wanted to like this place and have a new favorite burger spot. Unfortunately that just isnt the case with Five Guys. Five Guys...

I paid more and got less, what happened to five guys?

Im not sure if Five Guys is in decline or if its just this restaurant but this place has gone downhill quick. Its like 10 dollars for a burger, that doesnt include fries or a drink. There's nothing really special about the place, the buns are small and when I got my burgers all four of them looked like someone smashed them. Its pricey, and the burgers aren't special. As stated in other reviews the fries are the best part, i remember getting tons of fries on previous visits. This time I ordered two large fries expecting that extra scoop for each, nope i got two cups of fries and a little fell out in the bag. I dont give a lot of 1 star reviews because below expectations earns 2 stars, but this place really sucks. I will not be returning... ever, I'd rather go to burger king, or be waited on...
