Frosty's cake + ice cream — Restaurant in Lakewood

Way OVER PRICED cupcakes! As a first time visitor, I happily purchased a dozen cupcakes for $42.00 (OR sold at $4.00 each ), in which ended in great disappointment. The cupcakes tasted like flour and where doughy. The size was the average size. They were cute though. The service was nice and the bakery was immaculate. The grocery store cupcakes taste WAY BETTER! CUTE DECORATIONS DOESN'T EQUATE TO GREAT TASTE, QUALITY INGREDIENTS, OR EXPERIENCED BAKER. I would possibly patronize again but not for any cake products. Their cookies looked delicious, but so did the cakes/cupcakes. My friend is a baker of nearly 40 years her cakes & cupcakes are extremely moist, delicious frosting, and flavorful. Did I mention, twice their size and less than half their price for a dozen. Her reviews are EXCELLENT. Unfortunately, my decision to purchase cupcakes was literally spur of the moment for someone, as a last minute birthday request, otherwise I would've used her services. My honest review, experience, and personal opinion.

Update: after reading other's reviews I just learned this is a Vegan bakery. I had no idea. I googled a nearby location and I gave them a try. I guess this explains the taste and pricing. Vegan baked goods may be an acquired taste and usuall...

Great cupcakes and cakes! I’ve been to Frosty’s several times and every experience has been wonderful. I’m a cupcake/cake lover, so I usually grab a cupcake (or three!) or cake-by-the-slice. I also enjoy pairing my treat with a yummy latte or affogato. The variety of flavors always makes it so hard to choose, but you can’t go wrong with any of their options. The flavors are well-thought-out, and the decorations are splendid. I’ve also gotten some of the cookies to bring to a gathering and they were a hit! Everything always tastes fresh and high-quality, and the portions sizes are generous. Vegans and non-vegans alike will want to know where you got your treats.

As far as the service at Frosty’s, it is great—the crew is always kind and helpful. Even if the shop is busy you never have to wait long, but you also won’t feel rushed. The environment is bright and tidy. The birthday cake I ordered was delicious! Loved the flavor combination (vanilla cake, raspberry filling, and chocolate icing). It had the perfect balance of filling, icing, and cake, and it was decorated exactly as I requested.

Ordering the cake online was simple. I submitted the order form on their website with my flavor choices, decorating instructions, and preferred pickup date/time. (There were many cake, filling, and icing flavors to choose from.) I received an email response from an actual person later the same day, confirming my pickup date/time was available and providing a secure link to pay for the order online. Very straightforward, and paying up front made the pickup quick and easy.

I'd never been there before. Inside the shop, it smelled amazing, and all the cakes they had on display looked so good. I definitely want to go back and try their cake by the slice...
