La Salsa Mexican Food (B&I) — Restaurant in Lakewood

On this chilly, dark day with thunder and lightening across the PNW, I needed some good hot homemade soup. Comfort food ASAP. So I hit the ol' GrubHub and searched for "soup & sandwich" and La Salsa popped up! YES! Pozole! I can't find any Mexican restaurants who have pozole on the menu! I usually just make it at home. This was perfect. I decided to give them a try and let me tell you what! I have a new favorite place for authentic Mexican comfort food. They had NUMEROUS original, traditional, authentic Mexican dishes on the menu that you just can't find other places. Not the typical (American favorites) choices. I love that. And to make it better the tortillas are handmade fresh, and you can tell. They are heavenly. The pozole was fresh and so satisfying. The Torta Oaxaquena was to die for!! The bread was crispy and the topping fresh and flavorful. Not sure what the meat was becasue the GrubHub didn't allow for making a choice, although it said there were 3 choice possible. This place has the worst Mexican food I've ever eaten. Food was cold. The Tortilla around my burrito was chewy. I'm pretty sure it was under cooked.

I read some of the reviews for this place, and if I've eaten the same food at the people who are rating this place 5 stars... Then I'm 99.9 % sure they are rating themselves as a business. Obviously a business rating themselves is not going to give themselves anything under 5 stars.

One 5 Star review said they've eaten at over 50 Mexican restaurants and food trucks... And nobody comes close to this place... And they also mentioned the "reasonable" price in the review.. That account rated this place 8 times... I'm pretty sure that was La Salsa rating themselves 8 times on a burner account. The review sounds like and advertisment. And I'm sure the other accounts rating them that high are fake burner accounts also.

I will not come back to this place. I would not feed this...
