I have a seriously deep appreciation for the people that work in the fast food industry. It's a tough job and people often treat them like dirt and they don't get paid very well. I also have a lot of empathy for those that come from another country to have a better quality of life. Learning a new language can be tough. My issue is with the management that puts people that aren't able to speak the language well enough in customer facing positions without any language support. Further, with today's technology and the prevalence of apps on which a customer can order and pay for products, why a organization as big as McDonald's can't also easily refund money for missing items for orders made on the app. It's always good back to the store where you got your order to get your refund. Well, if that's the case, if the staff knows you didn't get something on your order, why don't they refund it when you pick it up? Have you ever tried to call a McDonald's? They never answer. Going in and talking to someone is equally futile. Especially if there was a language barrier with multiple employees in the first place. Then you usually have to wait forever until the manager is available if they are even there. Then you have to wait for them to check into it and go through the process of refunding the money back to your card which I've found they rarely ever do. I'm so tired of getting ripped of by McDonald's. I've placed orders and gotten there was an error and the order wasn't placed but then I get charged anyway and it never has been refunded even after notifying the restaurant manager. On the occasion I have no idea why I didn't get my drink with my order. The drive thru staff had it in their hand but wouldn't hand it to me. Just kept saying "Coke, No." Then gestured for me to pull into the drive thru waiting spot. Another employee brought my order but still no drink. I tried to ask them about my drink and again, they couldn't understand me. It's only a dollar and would cost me more time and energy to recover it than the worth of a dollar. However, when I start adding it up over a year it becomes significant as it occurs regularly. I drive ride share overnights and often McDonald's is my only affordable option that is open. So suffice to say I go to McDonald's a lot. I'd say I lose $5-$10 per month with McDonald's and probably about another $5 a month with the same issue with other app orders from fast food franchises. That's an average of about $150 a year, probably even more. That's almost two months of car insurance or three months of cell phone service. I don't blame the employees, I blame the corporations and their lack of customer consideration. One thing that will get me to give my business to any place is when there is an actual response to a negative review with a willingness to help resolve the issue. So I review places and hopefully someone will at least be aware of a potential issue they may encounter and the way the business handles it or if the business notices or cares about the...
Read moreI would give them zero stars if I could. Every single time we go to this McDonald's, our order is wrong and missing items. Before we ever got to window to, but car in front of us was throwing it's trash into window 2. I was thoroughly disgusted because that's where they keep all of our food. Tonight our happy meal was missing french fries, the toy, and the drink. When I asked the guy for the missing french fries, toy, and drink, he looked at me like a happy meal is not supposed to come with those things. I also ordered a quarter pounder with cheese french fries and a drink. He gave me the french fries for the happy meal and the toy, but he didn't give us the drink for the happy meal. He then proceeded to tell me that the quarter pounder meal and the drink which by the way was chocolate milk for the happy meal we're not ready yet and I had to go park and wait. We waited for over five minutes for chocolate milk, quarter pounder, and french fries. We had to finally go inside and what I found in there was even more disturbing than the trash being thrown into the restaurant. We found that the car who was throwing their trash into the restaurant was also parked and waiting for their food, were actually a group of teenagers who were I guess acquainted with the employees was in the restaurant joking around with the employees. The supposed manager was very unhelpful and didn't want to take responsibility for what was going on, kept making excuses that he was in the back counting money. We finally got our full order after over 10 minutes of waiting. And all the manager wanted to do was give us a free dessert for all of our hassle. Every single time we have gone into that McDonald's in the last month which is usually once a week, our order has been wrong and we have been treated rudely to try and get our order fixed with our receipt. I will never patronize this McDonald's ever again. And after seeing all the trash being thrown in there and the way they were handling money and then touching food without washing their hands, I feel this is a huge health hazard for the public. I hope that everybody reads this and realizes that this McDonald's could you make...
Read moreI ordered McDelivery this morning, paid $10 extra in fees alone which I was fine with, until I got my order delivered and learned they forgot our hashbrowns, we got 2 combo meals. When I called I got a woman named Angela who was very non chalant about it, telling me they can "replace" 2 hashbrowns as if I didn't already pay for them, she did not care one bit that I was going to have to drive to mcds to get my missing hashbrowns, leaving the rest of my order at home cooling off. She was very condescending as well. When I get there my hashbrowns are not ready for me to pick up, instead I had to speak with a different manager who I expressed my utter frustration to, and although she was nice and did apologize, all they could offer me for this huge inconvenience was an apple pie, which I didn't want as I ordered 2 with my delivery order. I don't want a full refund but I do feel they should refund the delivery and service fees as well as the hasbrowns yet I was told "they can't do refunds" you have to call whatever vendor they used to have your order delivered, even though it's mcds fault not doordash (in my case). Mcds should have offered me a credit for next time for $10 geez! Very disappointing experience, especially after talking to 2 mngrs and neither thought outside the box of offering an apple pie. Put yourself in my shoes. It's one thing to make a mistake, but when you're non chalant from the start, condescending and unapologetic and then refuse to do anything to make it right, other than offering me an apple pie, that is unacceptable. This McDonald's location was great before and honestly one of the better ones, including customer service I'm not sure who took over but it...
