The food was delicious as always! The service was awful because of one person. There was a young lady with dark hair, she looked hispanic, in a black shirt and jeans, and long fingernails, working the register. There was a significant line of customers and there was only her and 2 other girls working. She was barking orders to the two girls working the food line and didn't offer to help them. She yelled over the girl working in the middle, to the girl working the very beginning of the food line, correcting her on something wrong she did for a signature dish. It was very rude and publicly humiliating for this poor girl who got yelled at, she was in tears. This lady then proceeded to ask for a side of large queso for a customer who was paying, she could obviously see the two girls were busy fulfilling orders for the customers standing in line in front of them, and stood there watching them, and yelled again "I need a side of large queso" while turning back to the register and playing/texting on her phone. She could have easily walked over and gotten the side of queso herself. I observed her do and say many other things just like this to the other girls while I stood in line. Might I add, the other girls were clearly working their butts off and doing the best they could. She criticized them very loudly, did not once offer to help, and played on her phone in between customers. She could've easily walked over to them and quietly corrected them on what they did wrong. I assume this lady was a Manager or Shift Leader of some sort due to her shirt being a different color than the other girls'. This is no way for someone in a leadership role to act, or teach new employees. She clearly used her position in power to abuse and belittle those "below" her. This made for an awful customer experience as well. Everyone in line could feel the tension, and you could clearly see that everyone felt very uncomfortable. I wish I would've gotten her name. This lady does not deserve to be in a leadership position. Her behavior represented herself terribly and reflected poorly on...
Read moreWent to Qdoba for breakfast. Had previous negative experiences with Maria, the younger chubby hispanic shift manager at this location with the caked on makeup.
Ordered my food with my sister in law. My sister in law who is 5’4” asked about one of the items behind the glass and pointed at it. Maria yells “DONT PUT YOUR HAND PAST THE GLASS”. Very rude, and certainly not the way to handle the situation at a customer service job.
She then proceeds to make the rest of my order, but instead of making the quesadilla I ordered, she starts making me a burrito. I inform her that i ordered a quesadilla and she says “NO YOU DIDNT YOU ORDERED A BURRITO!”.
This is not true, i did not order a burrito, nor have i ever ordered a burrito from qdoba As someone who has worked customer service for YEARS, i have apologized for things that are not my fault. I didn’t like, but at a customer service job, you never blame the mistake on the customer if its easily fixed, and if not easily fixed, you don’t SCREAM at the customer, you find a solution.
This is just another example of a pattern of rude behavior by Maria the manager. The previous time I ordered food, Maria tried to charge me extras for my nachos, that werent even in my nachos. When i pointed out that i did not order any extras, she screams “THEN WHY DOES THE NACHOS LOOK SO FULL?!?”
Sorry Maria, don’t know why your employees aren’t making food the way you want them to, but that does not mean i should pay more, that means they need a better manager.
I love Qdoba, but will not be returning to this location, until i can get my correct order instead of wrong food...
