Crazy Pupusas & More — Restaurant in Lancaster

Crazy Pupusas & More is right. This is crazy, I can not express the joy in my heart right now eating this food. Like, for real. This is my new favorite place in Pennsylvania.

I'm from Texas and boy Howdy, I sure didn't appreciate the food enough. I lived there for my first 30 years of life, and I loved the food, but I didn't realize the privilege of just... all of it was alright, most of it was good or better, and some of it was phenomenal. I've lived here 2 years, and I haven't had any South or Central American food that I would have given a second chance in Texas.

So it's a Monday, I'm craving some taste of home. I doordash some food, thinking it will be mid at best, especially because it's doordash - I'm getting it 30 minutes minimum after it's made and.. it's pupusas, they get weird after a while, iykyk.

So I grab the bag, first thing out the gate I am greeted by a sight I have never seen North of Waco: grease from the chip bag. Not too much, mind you, just... they're fresh tortilla chips, fried TODAY! I haven't found a place that isn't just making you pay extra for tostitos. I try one - y'all, they're good. They're AMAZING. I don't even know how to explain it if you haven't had fresh ones before but they're so crisp, and so crunchy, but not going to cut up your mouth because they're just perfect.

That doesn't even begin to explain how good this place is. The fresh guac? So fresh! So good! Actually spiced and tasted exactly like home.

The pupusas are so good it should be a crime. If I had eaten them in Texas, this would be my new favorite restaurant. Same for the carne asada fries- they're not just good, they're incredible. This review has taken me 30+ minutes to write because I keep putting my phone down to take another bite.

I can't wait to go in person. God bless whoever's abuela taught them how to cook, this place makes it right. Thank y'all so much.

Ps. How good is this place? I logged out of one app (doordash) and opened another, logged in, found the place and left a review just so I could make sure as many people as possible knew this was the real deal. I cant even remember the last time I liked a place enough to even...

We were visiting from Tennessee and staying within walking distance of this restaurant. We were just looking for something close by that we could walk to and decided to try Crazy Pupusas and words can’t describe how shocked we were by how good the food was! We would give it more than 5 stars if we could! It was the best food we had on trip and we were not expecting that! The Burris Pupusas and Burris tacos were 10/10! Even our daughter’s chicken and French fries were delicious! This place deserves more recognition for the delicious food than it’s getting! Yall fill this place up! And also the waiter (not sure if he was the owner or not, I didn’t ask) was very kind and we had a great conversation with him!...

So glad we stopped in while visiting Lancaster from out of town. Never had Pupusas before - we tried the Birria Pupusas - and they were absolutely delicious! We also got the Carnitas Tacos; you get four tacos full of perfectly cooked, well seasoned meat for a very reasonable price. Two things stood out: the corn tortillas were by far the best I have ever had and the Hibiscus lime drink was UNBELIEVABLE! I would go there just for that.
