BUiLDiNG CHARACTER — Local services in Lancaster

Such rudeness we experienced from the 2 women who were at the register on March 9, 2022! I purchased 2 items totaling $33.00. One item was an 8X10 picture, the other bag of coffee. The woman put both items in a bag that easily fit the coffee but NOT the picture. The picture stuck out of the bag and since it was pouring down rain, I asked for a bigger bag. (Do I even need to explain why I wanted a bigger bag?) The clerk did NOT give me a bigger bag as I asked. She told me "it fit" and "it was fine." I was so irritated. I walked away from the register and my niece, who heard the conversation said to the clerk.... "what? you don't have a larger bag?" Finally, she reluctantly and with attitude pulled out a larger bag for my purchases. BUT, proceeded to roll her eyes at the other clerk with her, who then also rolled her eyes. A third woman (who I believe was the rude woman's mother) joined the two and started to talk about the exchange!!!! You know how you can tell when someone is talking about you???? Don't need to explain that either! In these days when businesses are struggling due to the pandemic, the rudeness that I encountered was unbelievable!! I will never patronize that...

I was about to purchase a $95 lamp and I wanted confirmation that the total will be $95 since I pay in cash. They said no, which is bizarre as I have shopped at antique stores in Pennsylvania my entire life and have always been offered a cash discount. I asked if they could please contact the owner if the lamp to ask and they refused. I then asked if they knew where u could get my dog to the nearest water bowl and the lady handed me an empty bowl and walked away. I then asked where there’s a tap. She said water in the refrigerator. I then asked to use the bathroom and I obtained water from the tap there. The entire time the two cashiers were rude and unprofessional. I then took my business to Space. The customer service there is five star. I will continue to shop there instead. I hope to find a lamp like this one someday as my cash was not appreciated where the...

Vintage stuff side by side with local art - this is a great place to find something fun and unusual. This has a lot of small stands with all different stuff. Especially nice- If you've been to place like this you know the usual hassle it is to find the person who works that particular stand and then they might take a card, might be cash only, etc. This place has a single place to make all of your purchases, including the ability to pay with a credit card - no trying to find the right person or any of the kind of hassle that you normally see at places like this. I went with my teenage daughters, and they loved the art. They especially loved the stuff at the 'Soft Served Spooks' stand along wh the 'Goblincroft' stand - cute stuff with a little edge. Absolutely worth the trip, but it's so diverse that you definitely want to give yourself a couple of hours to go...
