Wow! Amazing!!!!!! While in town for a baseball tournament, on a whim, my daughter found this place and thought for us to try it as it was something new. Well... hallelujah for that. There was plenty of street parking and a public parking lot nearby at the corner. There were a few tables outside as you approached the establishment. The daily specials were written on a chalkboard as you walked in. The young lady at the register greeted you with a smile. She was so friendly. I wanted to order the peach tea and asked about its sweetness, as I like my tea sweet. She assured me that it was sweet but had liquid simple sugar if I needed more sweetness. So I ordered a peach iced tea, and my daughter got the iced coffee special with coconut to drink. I ordered the BLT on a beignet, and my daughter ordered 3 beignets. As we sat in our seats, I sipped my peach iced tea and almost fell off my chair. It was AMAZING!!!!!!!!! It needed absolutely nothing! Some people may not know how hard it is to make homemade tea. A few minutes too much, it's bitter. A few minutes too soon, and it's not strong enough. Well, this was perfect. The peach came through delightfully. My daughter's coffee special was very good too!!!! Then our food came. Oh boy. It, too, was out of this world. I usually never finish my plate, and here I wish I had ordered two! Not because it wasn't big enough, because it was a nice juicy bite, but because it was sooooo good, I could have eaten two. I swear it was perfect. The bacon was done perfectly. Just the right amount of lettuce, tomato, and mayo. Oh, and the beignet.... perfect again. Wow! My daughter actually went back and ordered one to go!!! Lol. I tasted her beignet covered in powdered sugar, and they were simply delicious. They had seats out front, inside, and in a little garden like area towards the back. The bathroom was clean and neat. It also had one of those high-tech mirrors perfect for selfish. Haha. The people who work in this establishment are extremely polite and respectful. I started talking to the lady behind the register who made the drinks. She was the maker of the peach iced tea, too. She had given me a lot of information about the food, drinks and the history of the establishment. She made time to interact with her customers. I truly enjoyed myself. I would go back here EVERY time I'm...
Read moreSnooty, underwhelming bags of powdered sugar with a side of French fried bread. This is an example of a good place taking themselves way too seriously. We came downtown to try two places we haven't been to, Two Poodles and Lancaster Beignet Company. We decided to stop in to get bagels first, we declined the coffee there and said we'll grab coffee next door at the beignet place. The guy at the counter was super nice and told us to go order our coffee next door and he'll have our bagels ready when we get back. Sweet! So we went next door and decided that we'll get 3 beignets for breakfast and save the bagels for later. I told my wife I would go back to Two Poodles and grab the bagels while she waits for the drinks and the beignets. She took a seat and I left. A moment later an elderly female employee came up to my wife and said she overheard that her partner was going for bagels and that she would have to leave. She didn't ask if we were planning on eating them she just told my wife to leave. I came back to find my wife sitting outside of the beignet joint with a bag of beignets, but no lattes. Before I could ask what was going on, the woman who asked her to leave came out with our coffees. She then proceeded to say that she hope we weren't offended, but "the owners" don't want to "set a precedent" of people eating bagels in their shop. Well, guess what. Asking my wife to leave without allowing an explanation was offensive and sadly, you DID set a precedent. Just not the one you expected.
As for the food? The latte was nice. The beignet had a nice nutmeg flavor, but mine had a big air bubble inside, was pasty and dry.
Maybe you had some kind of frustrating customer interaction that caused you to react like you did, but I encourage you to rethink...
Read moreGoogle asked me to update: support small businesses LOVE THIS PLACE. I take everyone here. It's the absolute best. I have to come back and update again. If you have food intolerances and love coffee, don't give your money to ⭐️bucks. Seriously. They routinely don't honor what you ask for and just scrape off the Whipped cream instead of remake things. I can't have dairy due to breastfeeding. These ✨️amazing humans✨️ remade my order after realizing I'm dairy free because they knew the one ingredient had milk in it. I could honestly cry. I didn't even know I was about to have dairy but SHE DID and preemptively saved me from it! This place is amazing. Thank you Annie and Collin!!!! Keep doing what you're doing cuz you're doing it right!!!! Will be back later to review in detail. Thank you for making my birthday morning delicious 🥰 So I'm back. I love this place. It's as simple as that! My first visit was my birthday. We've now gone at least 5 times, I think. The breakfast sandwiches are too good to be true (but they are), and you have to get them the right way. Don't be scared, lol. I like mine without Sriracha, I'm just not into spice that early! Get the beignets. And a coffee. Talk to the staff, they are wonderful. (LBC: Please tell your staff they are beautiful souls for me.) Pro tip: get the beignets. Every time. And wear clothes with a pattern 🤣 embrace the powder smear. It's worth it. I promise.
Ps. I'm sad I missed king cake event but I'm NOT missing marde Gras! Also, GET THE...
