I ordered a large pepperoni pizza with extra cheese and a dozen mild wings. It was delivered through an app called "Slice". When the order arrived, the pizza didn't have extra cheese and there were only 11 wings which was disappointing. Pizza and wings were barely warm as well.
20 mins later the doorbell rings again, and the same delivery person was there with the same order. I said um, you just delivered this order and she showed me a slip with my name on it and the exact same order. I was confused and wasn't sure about keeping it but the delivery people said keep it.
So I kept it. I opened the boxes with the food and this pizza had extra cheese and there was a dozen wings! And the food was hot! Our doorbell rings again just as I'm sitting back down to eat and it's the same delivery people (man driver and woman who delivered to the door) who now wanted the food back. I was very surprised by this. I asked why and the man said they called in to the manager of Slice of Brooklyn and she said to get the food back. 😮🙃
So I gave them the food back. I knew they would have to throw it away so I thought that was strange. I called Slice of Brooklyn and spoke to a woman who identified herself as the manager and after explaining what happened she confirmed that she told the delivery people to bring the food back and I told her I opened it but I had given it back. She said "well it doesn't matter if you opened it because we will throw it out anyway."
So they not only messed up the original order and it was cold but then when their system messed up and they sent the order again instead of just giving us the food they sent them back to get it so they could throw it away!! 😒
They'd rather throw food away than give it to a customer who's order they screwed up and duplicated by mistake.

Read moreGreat pizza, wonderful staff. A few gripes I have, however. First time I ordered from them they forgot to give me the blue cheese and ranch for my wings. When I got them they were just the packets of ranch and blue cheese you'd get in a salad. No big deal but definitely not what I expected... Especially so being that ranch is $0.75 extra. Second gripe, I have ordered a chicken bacon ranch pizza with a side of buffalo sauce twice. The first time I got a buffalo chicken pizza, not what I wanted but I ate it. This was an eat in situation. Second time was delivery. I got a normal chicken bacon ranch pizza. No buffalo sauce. All well and good because they apparently can't take tips from a card for delivery (????) And had to send the driver back for a cash tip. I felt the act of asking us to pay the driver a tip we already requested be added to the card was odd and then also sending him back out for it even more so. All good, they brought the buffalo sauce with them. If a tip can only be cash that needs to be stated first and foremost on an order and the tip portion marked off with an X or something. I can't find a logical answer to why I can't tip from the card in the first place but it wouldn't have been a big deal if I was told this.

I've worked in several restaurants and the household I ordered from, are sons to a father that literally owns a shop near Reading. Ordered food for delivery at 7:30 on Sunday 3/26/23, they took the order for delivery, charged the card, and they took the address for delivery. I am 2.0 miles from the store. I ordered a pizza, fries and wings. Called back at 8:30 to ask where the food was and was promptly told they don't deliver. There was some miscommunication or something... The manager/owner had to deliver it, the food came 2 hours after ordering. They forgot the pizza topping and the sauce for the wings. The service on the phone was not the best in attitude. They delivered the food, offered a discount on the next order (really should've discounted this one) and gave us a complimentary soda. The food was good when we finally got it, but yeah sort the delivery situation out or just strictly don't offer it.
