Let me start by saying the 3 stars is only based on my latest experience. The food is great, in fact I have never eaten anything here that wasn't at the very least good. The service I've had has been good. The food does seem to take a while. Went there tonight and was a little confused by the menu since there was an "all you can eat" @$59 that includes salad, rice, and beans; then there's an "all you can eat meats" @$55. I asked the waitress what the difference was, she explained that they no longer do this one and pointed to the $59 option and said they do this one, pointing to the $55 option, because it got confusing for the kitchen. She explained it included the same as the higher priced option. There was a listing on the menu that says any food not eaten will be charged @ $10/lb., when the waitress explained the difference, she stated any food not eaten would be charged @ $20. I immediately responded with I would be paying $10/lb. if anything was left because that's what the menu states. She responded with they haven't updated the menu. Prior to leaving my parents didn't eat all there's and asked if they could be charged the $10 like the menu states, the waitress started to argue and my mom stated that California law states you must go by what's advertised, the menu says $10/lb. The waitress said, "oh my God, let me get you someone else", we waited, and she came back said she called her manager and they said that they charge $10/lb. for any food thrown away and $20/lb. for anything taken home, but she would charge the $10. We thanked her, paid our bill, and left. Now here's the thing, if all you can eat meal is $59 and comes with everything that's listed on their menu, I don't see why anyone should pay extra for taking it home. If under all you can eat, I ask for more of one of the meats included and you don't eat it and take it home then yes, I can see paying for it. Everything taken was a first go around of what is included in the meal, no extras. Also, why would you charge more to throw food away? Again, the food is great, but the policy and the response were what...
Read moreThe all you can eat was fun. The bring meats out one at a time and carve them for you. I like my beef rare and they were kind enough to go make more for me that was rarer. Doing the all you can eat let's you try different meats and seasonings to see which ones you like best. The garlic sirloin was especially tasty. They don't bring every meat on the menu out to your table to carve, but if you ask they will bring you anything on the menu if they have it. They were only out of one thing when we went. The price was fair to good considering all the meat you get but the beer prices were outrageous. $15-$17 a mug is unheard of in the AV. Bottle prices went as high as $8. There was a bazilian black beer I wanted to try, but not at those prices. The service was attentive and friendly for our group. I had no complaints there. The only thing keeping this from a five star review we're the alcohol prices. They have separate bathrooms for men and women, just don't look at the back of the door when you walk in our you might be surprised. Lastly, if you take a bunch of meat and leave a huge pile uneaten, they could choose to charge you a waste fee, but they said that is very rare and only in very...
Read moreThe menu doesn't have a lot of items but what it does have is very good. The "All you can Eat" meat item is great. A man brought me a small portion of 17 different meats. Sometime he would bring one kind....sometimes he would bring three kinds. The lamb was excellent. The marinated sirloin was amazing as well. The Chicken heart I tryed for the very first time and I didnt like the.......probably because It was my first time and I didnt know what to expect. They are rubbery. The fillet Mignon was so tender. My wife salad bar experience was also very good. She had the fried Plantains. She said they were awesome. The only reason I didnt give them a 5 star....was at one point three people at various times came up to our table asked if I would like to try more types of meat. I said yes please. I waited over 12 minutes for anyone to return. And it also didnt recieve a 5 star because when we got the check it stated that my wife had also been charged the all you can eat 17 meat item, but she had the salad bar. They corrected it. All in all...
