Slugger's Pizzeria — Restaurant in Lancaster

So I made the mistake of going to Sluggers 5 minutes before they closed. I did not realize it was closing and if I knew we would have chosen a different time. We were greeted by a woman. Who promptly told us only slices and cold subs available, must be to go. She had “tone” which made me uncomfortable immediately. But my husband said to go ahead and get the slices. I tried to pay by tap and it was not working for me. She abruptly grabbed my card and began bending it to try to force it to work (did not ask to take control of my card) while bending the card in obvious frustration & anger because we dared to enter the pizza shop so late, I said “please do not bend my card” it worked, but we waited for the slices in silence because that is the tone little miss sunshine choose to take. When we were leaving I heard her mimicking me. I went back in to make her aware I heard her nasty mouth mimicking me. Really sorry for this experience because it used to be my favorite pizza……… she does not belong in customer service if she thinks it’s okay to make fun of the customers. Just stopped in again for a quick lunch and happened to of met the owner and Basil this time, second time in! Slugger’s Pizzeria has quickly become one of my go-to spots in Lancaster. The pizza is consistently fresh and loaded with flavor — true New York–style done right. Their crust has that perfect crunch on the outside and softness inside. The wings and subs are just as good, which makes it more than a “pizza place.”

The staff is friendly and welcoming, and you can tell the owner really cares about keeping things local and community-oriented. Prices are fair, portions are generous, and you never leave hungry.

I got an Italian sub from them their cheese was so thin you could almost see through it and they only put two slices. The hard salami was so thin and as far as pepperonis they put four little tiny pepperonis on an Italian sub. That’s utterly ridiculous. Considering they charge you what they charge you. I will never order another sub from them ever again. I’ve had problems in the past with their chicken wings still having feathers on them. If you want good food do not come here. Save your time and save your money. Pizzas not so bad. And the people there are nice. Just the food sucks.
