Conrad's Grill - Frandor — Restaurant in Lansing

Short version - Conrad's is fabulous, I can't say enough good things about them, and you should try them ASAP!

LONG VERSION - I've been in the Lansing area for two years now, and somehow only just recently found out about this place.

Ever heard of Menna's Joint? If you ever got to try any of the Menna's Joint locations, and were disappointed when that chain bit the dust, you're not alone. I used to love Menna's Joint.

But I also lived in Kalamazoo over eight years for work and school, so I had Two Fellas Grill available to me, which was basically the same thing. I used to love going to that place too, but after a certain point, I had too many disappointing experiences in a row, so I just stopped going. I missed it, but I didn't want to be let down again. (This was back in 2019, so I want to stress that I don't know what they're like now).

Enter Conrad's.

I just happened to be driving by the Frandor location one day, so I looked it up, and I thought, "Huh, this looks like Menna's. Or Two Fellas. I'll have to try them sometime."

I've been SLEEPING on this.

Conrad's is basically the same thing as both of those places, although closer to Two Fellas, since both use Tater Tots instead of spuds for potato.

One bite of this wrap and I experienced an explosion of both flavor AND nostalgia. I didn't realize how big of a gap there was in my life that was in dire need of being filled! It was exactly why I loved going to Menna's and Two Fellas in the first place - BIG, HEFTY wraps just STUFFED with chicken and toppings!

That gap in my life apparently needed to be filled by grease, but in the best possible way!

I don't know about the other sides just yet, but they also have FRIED PICKLES. Do you have any idea how hard it is to find good fried pickles? Well, you can find them here! They're SPEARS, not chips or fries.

I've been a few times now, tried something different each time, and haven't been disappointed yet!

They do have options for an "XL" wrap, but honestly, the regular ones are so phat and filling that I couldn't imagine NEEDING one. I have trouble finishing the wrap in one sitting!

The staff are always friendly too. I can't honestly rate the "atmosphere," since this place is basically just a hole in the wall, and you take your food home with ya. But that's totally fine - it's one of those times where the anticipation of eating your food adds to the experience!

So all in all, if you need good drunk/stoner food, or a huge lunch or dinner in general, and if you really miss Menna's Joint or don't live in Kalamazoo, THIS IS THE PLACE. What are you waiting for?

Suggestion: Order spicy chicken wrap with TENDERS instead of grilled chicken. Try those fried...

We have had an absolute awful experience ordering from this Conrads. We called to place a pickup order for two Big Breakfast Wraps. I got there, paid for the food and left. When I opened the bag, we found that they had made us two BBW's which are a completely different wrap than the Big Breakfast, but an understandable mistake so we called them back and explained the situation. That's when things took a turn as the guy on the phone started insisting that somehow this was our fault, even though I had very clearly said "Big Breakfasts" when I placed the order. We got handed to the manager, who proceeded to tell us that we would have to place and pay for a completely new order if we wanted the food we originally placed the order for, which is outrageous considering they made the mistake. When we tried to tell him that we didn't think that was fair, he immediately hung up on us and blocked our number as when we attempted to call back again multiple times the call would not go through. Absolutely childish behavior from this Conrads staff, and a very disappointing response from someone who is supposedly a manager. We will definitely not be ordering from this...

On the night of January 6, 2025, my buddy and I decided to hit up Conrad’s for some of their chicken tenders. When we got there, we were the only ones in the place, which made the whole experience even better. I asked for the biggest tenders they had, and they didn’t disappoint—these tenders were exactly what I had pictured in my mind. They were huge and perfect. Honestly, it made my night, and I just want to say thank you to Conrad’s for making this such a memorable experience. I love this place! Update!!!! I’m nervous to go back because I’m not sure if the staff will be the same as that night so when I ask for the biggest tenders they might just brush me off and or laugh at me and not take me literally when that’s all I want cause when I went that night I felt heard and not...
