Middle Eats — Restaurant in Lansing

I tried Middle Eats for the first time in August and was delighted at the quality of the food. It is delicious. I've frequented the restaurant 3 times to get a feel for the service and consistency in food quality. While the food is good, the service is not. To be fair this may be at this particular location. The staff usually stands around and does not speak to you when you enter the establishment. They have gotten my order wrong and don't seem to have challenges in correcting the order in a timely and efficient manner. Members of the staff are dismissive and don't provide you with "next steps" to correct the problem. There was no offer of compensation or hospitality for the error. While my food order error happened once, all the others are consistent. Lastly, Middle Eats doesn't provide an ingredient list for the items on their menu so you can check for food allergies. This is very important for those who have peanut, soy, or seed oil allergies. This needs to be posted so customers can be proactive when making food choices. If you came to the reviews questioning whether or not to eat here, pull the trigger. We ordered the chicken and steak bowl as well as the Trifecta. The restaurant is extremely clean and cozy. The staff were very attentive and being our first time gave us some recommendations. I actually got to meet Mario, who I believe is the owner of the location and the customer service we received from him I WISH was practiced everywhere. He made excellent dessert suggestions and the food was phenomenal. I come from a very cultured background when it comes to food and I can say without a doubt, coming here once will make you a repeat customer. The flavors were phenominal, the portion of the bowl for the price is UNBEATABLE, and the speed at which everything was prepared and delivered was top notch. Being a foodie, I'm extremely critical of the restaurant industry. This place doesn't miss. I will be returning often. Thanks for a great first time...

Walked in and was greeted immediately I got a chicken shawarma bowl and my gf got a steak shawarma & pita chips w/ garlic. The bowl was pretty filling even for a grown man that plays football. The steak shawarma was good ad and well seasoned. The garlic sauce/spread here isn't that strong. I'm not a major garlic fan but I would like it to be stronger in taste, but that's just me. I definitely recommend the spicy garlic it adds little bit spice but nothing crazy Better than my expectations I'll unfortunately be here 3x-4x/ month 😂 Don't put too much thought into it if you're a newbie to the cuisine, it's chicken, steak, shrimp, pick one or all.
