I wasn't feeling well yesterday. I was trooping it out, went to Kroger in frandor to pick up things to make for dinner after working all day. Omw home, Made a last minute decision to just get take out. I went to turn around to go to burger king. I really didn't want fast food but didn't want to wait around for take out either. The parking lot I chose to turn around in had a Chinese place I've never been before. I'm very pick about Chinese but chose to give it a try. I parked and checked on the reviews. Seemed like people were happy with their experiences, and after seeing spicy crispy chicken, three things I adore all in one, I told my son to come in with me to order. I looked at what other types of chicken they had and ended up going with the crispy spicy, honey, and general tso. All three came with rice. (we opted for fried) two Rangoon, and a can of soda. Each one was around 13 dollars. The lady who took our order was very kind, with a beautiful smile. She suggested the honey. Chicken when I asked what she thought was good. After we paid, my son and I sat down to wait. Within 7 minutes, she brought us our food, neatly packed into two bags. The one containing the chicken had a piece of cardboard supporting the bottom. I was very appreciative of that. Nothing more irritating when u get take out and the sauce leaks out of the box and pools at the bottom of a plastic bag. We get home and my daughter, son, and I gather around the table to eat. Pleasantly surprised would be an understatement!!!! The crispy spicy was the perfect combination of crispy and hot with little slices of what looked like jalapeño. No sauce on the one but i wasn't mad. I dipped them in the tso sauce as I got them on my fork and it was delicious 😋 we took turns trying each kind of chicken. The general was very crispy, which I didn't expect. Usually the sauce makes it soggy. The honey chicken was oblong shaped, different from the others. Had me a little scared, but to my surprise it was the best honey chicken I've tried! Rice was great, I was elated that ot looked like real fried rice and not the typical bland yellow fried I often find at other places. Rangoons had a great filling, although I wish they had been fried just a tad bit longer. Still very enjoyable, I just prefer things crispy. I threw them in the air fryer for 2 min and they were exactly the way I likes them!! THIS IS MY PLACE NOW. I WILL NEVER CHEAT ON THEM WITH ANY OTHER CHINESE FOOD! LOL. I highly recommend them if anyone...
Read moreIf I can give ZERO stars for this place I would. My mom and I came here for lunch to try their buns. Everything started off fine we got the mini dumplings, a steamed bun, and a pan fried meat bun as well as an order of the garlic bok choy. When the food came the waitress brought a shrimp fried bun instead of meat. I told her that we didn’t order the shrimp buns because I don’t eat shrimp. The waitress stared to have an attitude because she brought the wrong order, we then told her ok never mind and ordered a salted egg bun. The waitress said you will not like it because it’s runny. We like runny egg yolks so we told her it fine. However she failed to mention it was sweet even though on the menu they have listed as salted. When we asked her about it thinking maybe she gave us the wrong dumpling again as it also didn’t look anything like the one on the menu, she quickly became nasty and spoke to us with an attitude. She clearly can’t communicate and when a customer asks questions about the menu she is combative. To add to this the bok choy was not properly cleaned there was still dirt in between the leaves.
I will not visit this place again and I honestly wish I can give 0 stars...
Read moreMy husband and I drove an hour to Lansing to try out the dimsum here and unfortunately we received raw hargow... They seemed to be cooked unevenly so when I bit into it, the middle was cold. I broke apart the dumpling and you could clearly see the shrimp was still raw and grey inside. We told the server and she apologized and brought me a new plate and chopsticks. We received a new order of hargow, but it was still underdone in the middle for some... The siumai we ordered also seemed underdone because it was still quite pink in the middle. In the end, they did take the hargow off our final bill, which was nice. I just felt really uncomfortable at this point and wanted to leave. Giving it two stars because the food we received that was cooked properly was actually quite good. We went on a weekday and it wasn't very busy so I'm just confused as to how we still received raw food because there should have been plenty of time for them to cook it properly. I really wanted to like this place because the closest good dimsum we can get is 3 hours away, but sadly I don't think I can...
