Walking in the place was very cold! A few customers, but we were greeted by a girl who was fumbling with her personal jacket on the counter. Our waiter was over the top, both considerate and fast..but maybe to fast for his customers own good. My husband and I ordered coffee and the feta cheese and spinich snackers to start. The portion was small for the price, the snackers were stuck together but hot, the dip was not hot, more warm but not by any means hot; it didn't even melt the cheese. We both ordered the Original with 3 cheese and made it large sized for about a buck more..around $9.00 each and a basket of curley fries to share...again not hot.. His was ok, but mine on the other hand literally poured grease onto my plate! It was about half full of grease and the waiter came bye and he grossed out and brought me a fresh plate. We agreed they scooped the bottom of the old tray to make mine( visual was little hard, grease covered shavings of old meat wrapped up). I got almost half done when the grease factore luned my mouth, the wrap was soggy, and it was awful!! He said they'd make me another but i sure didn't want 1. I asked him to box it to go which he did. We had to ask for desert, and were told to pick anything on this card that sat on the table. The chocolate hazelnut bread pudding looked great, but they don't make that anymore; now it's a peach bread pudding so we decided we'd give that a try seeings they didn't have any other kind...which is utterly rediculas!! We had to wait for that, and it was served without the vanilla cream custard that would have made it much better and easier to swallow...it was DRY!! We got our bill..almost $50.00!! I told Bob I'd see him outside in a minute, a clue that i may embarrass him cause I'm gonna go off on someone. I explained had i known they'd still charge me for a sandwich, I'd never said ok to him offering a fresh 1, and the peach bread pudding was made wrong, i wanted it off my bill. He did take the dessert off so lunch for us cost $40.00 plus a good tip. I know every good resteraunt goes down hill some, but today i saw...
Read moreWe waited for a few minutes for a server/host to show up and to be seated on a Sunday at 7 pm, no big deal but after being seated 10 minutes and no server, no drinks etc. We had to ask a server cleaning a table to take our order, he went and got a different server who then came over apoligizing and finally took our drink and food order. She said she would give us a free desert but did not take the desert drink off our bill, I did not want to wait another 10 minutes for her to show up again so we just left. The junky coupons they constantly send to your email if you are dumb enough to sign up are useless because they exclude almost half the sandwiches from being included and usually make up some soup salad and desert combo which we never use because the deserts are not good enough to buy and salads, are well, salads which if you cannot make one yourself shame on you. This last visit, which may actually be our last visit, the original Olga sandwich was barely warm and the fries were cold, the other sandwich was OK but is a 'premium' one that cost more and isn't included in their dumb coupon combo, whatever. Service was always sketchy but has gone down hill recently, food quality has suffered too, I think the food quality has suffered because they try to make too many food items now and are constantly adding and removing items, but adding fried shrimp to the menu? Why? Bad management that's why. I understand they want to offer variety and compete with others, blah blah blah, it is sad that the few items they have always had have declined in quality so much the last few years. Get your act together and get back to your roots of good, warm food, good consistent service and good value. We paid almost $30 for two sandwiches, one small fry, and one drink. Ouch. Not happening again. Thankfully there are many authentic Greek and middle eastern restaurants around that make much much better food at much better prices. Olgas will be gone soon and we will not miss them. Check out the picture of the...
Read moreI love the food here, but the service absolutely sucks most of the time. Today I tried to call in my order and it wouldn't go through twice (the ladies with the calling service were really nice). I tried calling the restaurant directly 4 times and no one answered. I called the calling service back and they couldn't get through to the restaurant either. So I had to wait until I arrived at the restaurant to put in my order. I get to Olga's and a waitress took my order while the cashier is on the phone (taking phone orders...hmm). Finally the cashier checks me out after I explained what happened. She seemed rather flippant about the situation and says my food should be about 15 minutes. I was trying to be patient because I know they were probably frustrated too. I listened to them call several names. After over 25 minutes they still had not called my name. The whole time the two girls that I had placed my order with avoided I contact with me. Finally after about 30 minutes I started to get up to ask why my food was taking so long. As the cashier saw me getting up she quickly turned around and grabbed a to go bag from behind that had been sitting there for like 20 minutes! I asked her why my food had been sitting there for so long. Instead of apologizing she told me that she called my name a LONG time ago. I listened the whole the whole time and I did not miss my name. This was a very frustrating experience. I never recieved any acknowledgement of a long wait or an apology. The star I gave was only for the food. The service lost them the other 4 stars. This is not the only time I have...
