I cannot say enough good things about Phillips Cider Bar and Market. The location is great for Lansing/East Lansing-area folks, conveniently located near Frandor and 127. While they don't serve a lot of food, they have a well curated menu of light bites (try the pimento cheese dip!) and a large selection of baked goods on the Market side of the business (all I can say is: molasses cookies!). They also allow you to bring in food from other local eateries, and if you do it on Wednesdays, you get $1 off your first pint! The atmosphere is lovely with a great playlist in the background and beautiful lighting. I'm not a huge fan of the standard-issue backless metal stools at the bar, but they do have MUCH more comfortable seating choices (check out the wicker egg chairs). About the cider--it is absolutely fantastic! The cidermaker, Drew, works his magic on predominantly dry ciders, but at least one sweeter cider (Magdeline) is on the menu too. Read moreThis place is amazing! They have created the perfect atmosphere for sitting back, sipping on a cider and chatting with friends, which will quickly include the people working there. They really know the ciders and are happy to explain them with as much or as little detail as you want.
They serve some light appetizers and have a lovely bakery area. It wouldn't work for dinner, but it will provide you with something delicious to munch on.
I don't think you will find a more delightful staff anywhere. They will happily engage in a full conversation when you want and know when to give space when that is desired. I have been taking everyone I know to check Phillips Cider Bar out and they all agree, this is a unique and wonderful addition to the...
Read moreWe stopped by on a Saturday evening to meet up with the family and try out a new place. The dining area is very clean and inviting. We were a party of 6,and the waitress was awesome. She was so polite even with everyone talking and asking questions. We decided on a pickle pizza and a marry me chicken pizza. We also tried the whitefish dip. The dip was a great choice for the group, with everyone trying some. The pizzas showed up quickly, and both were amazing. The group also tried the large selection cider with everyone being impressed. We definitely will be back to try the pimiento cheese and more pizza. The next time you are looking for some place new to try stop by Phillips Cider Bar and Market and...
