Do you have any idea how hard it is to find a Cookie Cake around here? There used to be a place in the mall that did them, but malls were killed by bad decisions and private equity, so that doesn't exist anymore. The grocery stores will do them but...if you care about someone you can probably do better than that. In less than 24 hours (and with a quoted turnaround time over the phone of less than 6 hours potentially!), I got a custom cookie cake that is a really good, solid chocolate chip cookie for a very fair price. Icing was just right too, and my friend got exactly what they wanted. The store was nice as well, and a big sign on the wall listed 20 flavors of pies that were available to order, and promised that they can make any custom pie as well. I'll probably try that next time.

We used cupcakes to replace a cake at our wedding in August. We ordered 10 dozen cupcakes, of various flavors. The owner himself delivered them to us on a Sunday morning! He was prompt and polite, and they were fresh and ready to go! He also rented us a cupcake tower that made the presentation spectacular. With a small wedding of about 65 guests, at the end of the night we only had about 10 cupcakes left. They were very popular! The pricing compared to a traditional wedding cake was about 1/2 the cost! I really can't say enough good things. The product is wonderful, and the service is great, and the pricing is more than reasonable!

NOT A SERVICE DOG FRIENDLY ESTABLISHMENT My service dog and I were verbally accosted by the owner, who was not wearing a mask during the covid-19 pandemic. He demanded to see legal paperwork for my service animal, despite that specifically not being required by the Americans with Disabilities Act. When I showed him a card (pictured here) which explicitly outlines the laws regarding services he continued to be aggressive, shouting at me. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone.

Sadly we were very disappointed in our entire experience. The man behind the counter made us feel rushed and as though we were inconveniencing him, as we tried to explore the store and it's menu. Some of the flavors were strange and bougie like something you would see on a Netflix baking show. But I am adventurous and understand that somebody must love these flavors like strawberry and thyme or pickle and peanut butter cupcakes....So I stayed safe and went with a baklava cupcake at almost 5 bucks a cupcake I was expecting and excited to share bites of it with my family after dinner. My mom got a cookies and cream as well as another flavor cupcake. We were absolutely disgusted when we bite into our baklava cupcake to discover it tasted exactly like Grandma's perfume...we spit it out. Evidently the baker was experimenting with rose water in his recipe. My mother called me later that night to express her dislike for both her cupcakes. We could have bought an amazing dessert somewhere else for what we paid for 3 nasty cupcakes here. We did also purchase a monster cookie and brownie which were average and overpriced....

Cookies are good but service during the day with the guy worker they have during the week is horrible. I usually go at night and the lady is so sweet, but went a few times during the day lately and it seems to be the only time I get terrible service. I call ahead for my order, which is usually a 12 pack. I prefer fresh cookies instead of cookies that have been sitting and picked through. The guy always says yes I'll bake them fresh and when I get there its old ones. He's even had to remake my order because he knew what I had ordered was not what he had given me. However he did it again yesterday and when I asked why over the phone I was told yes your baking them fresh and now once I'm here your saying your not going to because some came out 20 mins ago. He proceeded to get hostile. Told me he owned the place (which I found very unbelievable, for im a business owner and I would never conduct myself in that manner.) But thanks for informing me, now I will never spend my money here again. I also let my friends and family know (who I referred might I add) to not go there...

I recently had the chance to try Sugar Shack’s cookies and had really been looking forward to them — I’d heard such great things. Since my husband has a dairy allergy, I called the shop to ask whether their peanut butter cookies contain dairy, especially because I couldn’t find any ingredient or allergen information online.

When I asked, the person who answered the phone responded with a very blunt “of course,” in a tone that felt unnecessarily rude and dismissive. It really caught me off guard. I wasn’t trying to be difficult — my husband’s safety depends on this kind of information, and plenty of peanut butter cookie recipes actually don’t include dairy, so I thought it was a fair question.

I understand people get busy, but it would mean a lot if allergy questions were handled with more care and respect. I also hope the bakery considers making allergen information more accessible. A little more kindness in moments like this would...
