This place is definitely a hidden gem and strives for greatness. You can taste that through how decadent and exquisite each dish was. My colleague and I stopped by for lunch after receiving a recommendation, and I am glad we stopped by. We ordered Veggie Fried Rice, Beef Lo Mein, and Red Curry W/ Chicken. Would you believe me if I told you that this was the best Fried Rice I might have 'never' had? Beef Lo Mein is a new addition to their menu and I was at AWE how different it tasted, unlike Chinese Counterpart. And lastly, the Red Curry just was not only very flavorful but very aromatic!! I liked how everything was spicy enough to enjoy and not over the top. I'm definitely hooked & coming back for more of the Thai experience 🌶
Update 2/27/23: I came back over here 4 days later and wanted to try out some more of their menu but my expectations went sideways. I'm not sure what happened, but the Lo Mein didn't have that unique flavor. I tried their Drunken Noodles and Chicken Satay and I was pretty disappointed. Noodles had a weird mix of flavor and the satay was oddly shaped and not flavorful. Also, im keen to smell of meat. Both the chicken was beef was not properly seasoned or not masked enough. I had to ask for Sriracha to help the flavor come out of it. The waiter we had -might have been new because she didn't know what Sriracha was. And not sure what was going on with the staff, but people were arguing in the kitchen area. I just finished my Crab Ragoons and...
Read moreNot authentic at all, which I suspect most people rating this as excellent, would not know. At best, this is slightly more flavorful bad Americanized Chinese food. I am from NYC, and have been to Thailand. Trusting the great reviews, I ordered my favorite dish and appetizer after I moved here. The Pad See Ew had almost no broccoli, and it was not Chinese (that is what is traditional). It had almost not egg, and was barely spiced (I don't mean hot). The bottom of the container was literally drenched and DRIPPING in oil, and the bag was soaked! My appetizer, fried tofu, was horrifying to look at. It should be firm and crisp on the outside, and not at all greasy. All the pieces were stuck together, not cooked long enough, and had gelatinous coatings on them. Worst of all, it did not come with its paired sauce: Thai chili sauce. They had actually put peanut sauce in my bag, and never asked for permission. I cannot eat peanuts. I went back in, asked why it was in there, and they said they simply ran out. How is this a way to run a business?! I still cannot believe how much oil was in that bag. People, I swear, this is NOT Thai food! They are taking advantage of people having never had...
Read moreI've eaten in four Thai places in Lansing/East Lansing, Livingston County, Ann Arbor and Flint. Thai Village is my favorite. Great food loaded with Veggies. I'm diabetic and they adjust the menu items to reduce carbs for me.
2/3/20 What a difference a year makes! I've been a customer for years. Years, not days! Today during lunch I was ignored. Everyone was served around me. Groups that had come in after me no less! I called 'Miss' and 'ma'am' twice and even stood up...I stand 6'5" so Its not hard to miss me and still they ignored me. I ledt. I was angry at first but realize that things change. I guess they do not care for single repeat established customers like myself. Groups of 2 or 4 are more important. I am done with this place even though it was my favorite Thai place in town. I will no lknger recommend this pllaCDe to friends. Its not worth it to pay for parking and then...
