Chili's Grill & Bar — Restaurant in Laredo

Came in to have a nice meal with a friend. Hostess saw me and kept walking by. Asked for a table and hostess insisted on sitting me in a booth. Fine and dandy, no problem until i got to the booth. It was dirty and hostess just used her hand to move aside salt/crumbs to the side. Server didn’t even give his name when he came to the table he just asked how many people then left for at least 5 minutes to get more utensils without asking if i wanted anything to drink. Once my friend got there it still took a good while before i was offered anything even water. Server didn’t know what was on tap then had to check before offering me anything. Ordered boneless wings then tried to order the half club but was told it was not possible to order only half with no explanation. Ordered the whole thing instead. Waited for my server to come back to order another beer but that took a while with my empty glass on the edge of the table. Tried to order another beer but was told that last call was done a while ago. I was never given last call for either kitchen or bar. I was going to order a desert but with the way the server was inattentive or no last call, i decided to close the tab, was not given any receipt or way to find out my total until after i paid. Had to get up and get my own to go plate since my server took a while to come back. The server insinuated he bring me change so i could leave him a tip and didn’t leave until i left him a tip. Didn’t expect that service was going to be that way all around. Don’t get me wrong the food was delicious but not coming back here ever again with the attention given to the guest by hostess and server. Didn’t expect that horrible of service. The experience I had at the restaurant overall was great. My first impression was that it felt a little unwelcoming. The hosts doesn't sound very comfortable while greeting us. The gentleman could have just been nervous. He was helpful later in the story. We had a table for six, and the light fixtures were flashing over our heads, which was distracting. I asked the hosts to switch us tables. He was quick and nice enough to handle the issue. Which made me feel comfortable overall. He had changed the light setting, which stopped the flashing light. The atmosphere was a little confusing, to say the least. The songs that played did not fit at all. I can only assume they had customer select the music. Other than that, it didn't seem too bad. The servers at the restaurant were on fire, attending to us every feel minutes. Very respectful and understanding. We had ordered some margaritas, which came out amazing. I ordered an appetizer that came with wings, material sticks, and some type of egg rolls. I definitely recommend you try them. You can't compare them to any other. My family ordered their food, and everything came out amazing. I had the half rack of ribs, which are to die for. I have yet to find a restaurant that can make ribs that good. I know chili's has been around for some time, and some may have had back experience in the past. With the current team and managing staff, you will away have a great experience, and they will handle any issue you may have in a professional manner. I look forward to eating there again. Unfortunately Chili's is famous for there signature ribs but seems like they need to update there calculations on there cooking process to remove a perfect slow cooked rack of ribs from there pits to its customers plate at the time of order not set them aside in the morning hours and reheat in the afternoon 😒👎 After 7 months of not going back to Chili's I started seeing some new commercials on TV where they were back meaning that things got better. Surprisingly they did👍 myself and my wife went back and the food was delicious well cooked and full of flavor. They were running a special by ordering Patron Margarita I can keep the shaker for $5.00 more not bad it's made of glass with stainless steel. But unfortunately when I got home to wash it I was very unhappy of the conditions of the shaker the top cap had rust in it and some kind of black residue 😖 Chili's needs to inspect there promotional products before offering them to customers.
