AJ's Sports Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Largo

Was my first time at AJ's sports bar last week on Thursday I was there for a Plenty of Fish event. Is it that was from 7 to 11. The staff was very friendly I have a good selection of food and you think maybe because of the event they might have had discounted drinks that was not the case. Maybe people would have drank more if it was. My order of french fries took an astounding 45 minutes to get to my table. Just a basket of french fries. 5 minutes tops cooking time. Took 45 minutes. But the company was exceptional and the staff was again very friendly parking was a little limited we were supposed to have a 187 people show up and there's no way in hell that parking lot would have held anywhere close to that. Other than that had a great time there met a few new friends. I would recommend it as a place to hang out just chat with friends they have a few pool tables in the back and some video games and they have events that go on like bingo and karaoke. Drink prices were good, food was not good, ordered blackened fish, came out not blackened and a bit dry. Wings were ok, but were also a bit over cooked. I remember the food here was good in the past. I haven't been in here in several years. Looks like it may be several more before I come back again. Bartender was nice enough with timely service. Gave us a free drink after she mistakenly brought an extra one we didn't order, and later said it was because of the food...

I can't speak on behalf of the food bc the kitchen was closed when I went so I didn't stay long. In these instances, I wouldn't usually write a review, but I felt compelled bc the place had a horrid smell like old molded carpet. They need to really figure out what's causing the smell.

Otherwise, the place was clean. The bartender could use a smile. She did not appear friendly AT ALL!!! Next time fake it until you make it lady bc we the patrons...
