Thought this would be a good place to get a drink. Went in stood at the bar my daughter was told to find a seat meanwhile I waited at the counter to get served while 1 of the bartenders was talking with someone in the corner. I waited for about 10 min. In the meantime another customer came and he waited too. The bartender finally came to take our order when he asked the gentleman for his order when I interrupted and said I had been waiting and would like to order. He then made the excuse the they were busy when he clearly was not. I placed my order got my drink and he didn't offer to start a tab and took my card. Outside on the patio my daughter was waiting to get service at a dirty table she asked for ice tea and a menu but was being ignored. I came out waited a while with her and ended up bussing the table myself. We asked the table to be cleaned but then the sever cleaned a different table and was serving other customers. I don't recommend this place to anyone especially if you want to be ignored. Our friend showed up and she got us another drink then we left. Unhappy and...

1st experience was positive but brief. On return the 2nd experience was a headache, for me at least. We went inside and were told to pick a table. I sat at a dirty one outside on the patio. The waitress served 2 tables drinks and took their order before acknowledging that I was there. My mom bussed the table and was served a beer from the bar who also proceeded to wait on male patrons first; regardless of waiting time or order. About 20 minutes into waiting I approached the server and asked for drinks and if she could wipe our dirty table, also for menus. 30 minutes in I got my drink, menus, and table wiped. I asked for a non-alcohoIic beverage, to which I was served a completely random drink. I was understanding enough that; yes, places are short staffed and places are busy but acknowledgment at first goes a long way to patrons. Our waitresses attitude also was unappreciated and didnt change until a friend came to meet us; in which she had changed her demeanour. All in all the low rating is due to long wait and a crabby server who was overworked and slow for a busy...

Not impressed one bit. Service was the worst I have seen in a very long time at a restaurant. Drinks took forever to come to our table (less than 5 guests in the whole place at 4pm on a Thursday) and when they did, they were made incorrectly (we ordered the Ghetto Vaquero and it had no cinnamon stick in it. I had to ask for it, so who knows if the rest of the drink was even correct.) Our whole group ordered this drink and every single one that came to the table looked different. The Happy Hour carnitas tacos were $10 for THE smallest tacos ever and does not come with a side (if you are a hungry person, this meal is NOT for you) Chips and Salsa were good, but they give you THE smallest thing of salsa. We asked for more and then were charged for it. The server said they were running low on ice, so all the water she served had no ice. How about the manager go to the store and get bags of ice so your customers are happy? Huge chunk of an ice cube in my drink is not ok. Again, service was just horrible. We will...

We had a wonderful lunch at Little Toad Creek, it's a nice hang out spot with friendly staff and a nice selection of sandwiches. As we walked through the outside seating, we were greeted nicely and welcomed in, they even held the door for us!! We came for the distillery so were a little disappointed that the actual distillery is in Silver City. We did get to have a tasting though and what we tasted was really good! The spirits are genuine and true, meaning the vodka is nice smooth tasteless vodka, the gin is mildly junipered and also smooth and the agave spirits are truly agave and again, nice and smooth. They had me at Grilled Cheese & Tomato Soup!! Sadly, I was disappointed as the sandwich was somehow dry and the soup was the consistency of pudding! It tasted fine and I finished every bite, just wasn't up to my expectations. Hubby had the New Mexico Reuben and said it was good, just not quite enough pastrami. The Asian Slaw though, that was delicious and we even got some to go!

We decided to stop for dinner while passing through and chose Little Toad because it looked like a place we’d go to back home. We were NOT disappointed! The food has a lot of flavor, no complaints from the peanut gallery here. I ordered cider and the rest had different beers…again-no complaints. We had the Cubanos, Turkey club, and the Las Cruces-all got the thumbs up. The slaw has the perfect heat and the peanuts just balance it. They had the Nocturno Sundae for dessert and I had a Lemon-Lavendar Martini. They RAVED about the sundae and we left with a bottle of the Nocturno liqueur. As you can tell by my empty glass, the martini was delicious!!
