Starbucks — Restaurant in Las Cruces

The staff at this location is friendly enough. However an effort was not made to help make me feel welcome. It was as if they were simply going through the motions.

Decided to stop in again since it seems like a good place to relax and wait for someone. We were waiting for my wife to get out of work so we could go shopping at Sams across the street.

Ordered cookies and chocolate milk for the kids. Ordered Iced green tea for me. The kids got theirs right away. My tea took 23 minutes. There were about 5 people who ordered ahead of me already waiting. That comes to almost 5 minutes per order. Of course there is also a drive thru. I do not know how busy they were. But it really shouldn't matter.

I saw no less that 6 people with a Starbucks shirt. Once I went up to the counter to see about my drink, I noticed that one of the people on Drive thru brought my tea from the drive thru area. Apparently my drink had been taken to the drive thru after being made. Of course no one asked for my name to put it on the order. That may have helped. Not one of them greeted me. Not one of them thanked me. Not one of them apologized for how long it to get my drink.

Stopped by on a Saturday night and went through druve thru. I got a pumpkin spice and my kids chose a hot chocolate and wanted a pastry to enjoy with it but couldn't decide which one. The employee attending me seemed annoyed to the point that I had to reassure him that there was no car waiting behind me. I would have gotten down but it was so cold that night. When we finally decided on the pastry we had to wait and see if they had what we had requested off the menu. 3 mins later I get a "pull forward". When my drinks were being individually handed to me I asked which one was which and his response was, the sticker tells you. Is the dark roast policy "not after 11am or 12pm?". Here it's, not after 10:34am. I asked for a pour over instead using the blend on the sign for the dark roast but the barista said, "No. It will probably be Sumatra. Once we're done with it for the day, we're done." Aside from making zero sense, sell what you advertise. If you're out of it, or just plain don't want to make it, then take the sign down. What if a hospital decided to stop performing the service they advertise.. or Planet Fitness quit with the exercise equipment and started selling inflatable wavy arm guys??
