Having just finished my Italian stallion I did not want to wait to write my review. This sandwich deserves my full attention. I ordered an Italian stallion on Dutch crunch bread with everything. Everything includes their special sauce - garlic and olive oil - and it's delicious. My fiancé ordered a Trifecta - BLT add turkey. Combo'd up for two sandwiches and a tip for around 20 bills.
The Italian stallion: ham, salami, prosciutto, provolone and Italian dressing on Dutch crunch with everything. Everything - mayo, mustard, secret sauce, lettuce, tomatoes, onions and peppers. The sandwich does not disappoint in shape, size, amount of meat or taste. The bread is AMAZING. It has a great crunch without being over the top thick. The meat was delicious and I felt like it was the right amount. The whole sandwich was just wide enough to make me stretch to take a bite but not wide enough that I couldn't take a bite.
The Trifecta - triple decker of bacon, lettuce, tomato and avocado. Ordered with a turkey addition and gluten free bread. My fiancé said it was by far the best gluten free sandwich ever made and the best part - no up charge for the gluten free bread. Usually costs two-three bucks more. Ouch.... The quality of the sandwich was amazing. I would order and eat it, even with the gluten free bread. And that says a lot.
The service: I had a chance to talk with the owner. A tremendously nice guy with genuine service in mind. The staff making the sandwiches were friendly and personable. I give this place 5 wonderful stars. I will, absolutely, come back. Thanks for a...
Read moreIn Brief: Best hot sandwich place in town, hands down. Such a hole in the wall, best kept secret here in town. Full of flavor and originality. Seems like the owner is really invested in what he too considers the best sammich in town! You will not be disappointed in the vast menu because everything is amazing. The Bomb Sauce and Dutch Crunch bread will leave you speechless.
In Detail: I first came here by recommendation from a good buddy who typically recommends good places in town. I knew I had to go and went the weekend he told me about it. I loved the chill, cool atmosphere with and modern, retro, Vegas sign-sub shop look to it.
The menu was a bit intimidating but one of the workers said I wouldn't be disappointed in any. I asked which was a favorite and was immediately told anything in Dutch Crumch but definitely The Carter... I got it. Let's just say this place blows any other hot sandwich spot out of the water!!! I loved it!
The owner was adamant that I make no changes to the sammich, especially the Bb Sauce, it was a must in his eyes. It is a must in mine as well. The ingredients seemed fresh and the making of the sandwich was quick.
The pricing is reasonable and really one sandwich is good for two. The shop is fun as it has a chalk wall that people leave their mark on. The owner is passionate about his shop and makes it fun and intriguing to try his sandwiches. If you're picky, I am sorry! The way the sandwiches are, are amazing. Any compromise made to he sandwich is a crime!!! I will definitely be back (have already been back multiple times) and will spread the word that as of now, this...
Read moreThey make hands down the best Bahn Mi in town! Get over here and try it now!
I always crave a Bahn Mi Dac Biet, but their Chicken Bahn Mi has easily changed my mind! I'm excited to try all their other sandwiches like the gargantuan and the italian!
The seasoning on the chicken was phenomenal, with a careful and effective amount of five spice, that was juicy and tender.
The paté was on point and made a great mixture between the creamy mayonnaise, as quite often in town I don't always get a good ratio and flavor profile to the paté to make it noticeable. Their paté is excellent!
Finally we come to the bread, the most important part of this meal: a beautiful baguette as a quality canvas to paint on, with textures of incredible crunch with an almost creamy soft inside. It was flaky but not overly baked in a way that you would lose teeth; this was delicate, fluffy, and audible like flavorful ASMR. And now the most beautiful part of their restaurant lays in my belly, that bread is phenomenal 🤤
Last but not least was the pistachio tiramisu, with fluffy lady fingers and an extra creamy coating to wrap up a wonderful meal.
Excellent job to the owners of this wonderful gem, you'll soon need a few more employees when you get even busier!
If you haven't tried this place, prepare for...
