First, let me start with the cashier who wrote up the ticket, which did not make me feel comfortable with my cake order. I had to repeatedly make sure that she had everything written down as I requested. The ticket was so sloppy, it had all kinds of scratch offs, I should have canceled the order just from that, but I was not feeling so well, did not have the strength or the energy to keep shopping around and really needed to order my son a cake for his birthday. I took a chance anyway, and that was the worst decision as far as purchasing a cake that I could have made. The cake was overly priced, and when I arrived home and decided to cancel it because I did not feel secure with the order, I then noticed on the that the deposit was nonrefundable. The cake was actually paid for atleast 3-4 days in advance so it should have been refundable but that was my fault for not seeing it on the ticket prior to paying or even asking if I changed my mind could I get my money back. I asked for a strawberry short cake with all whip cream with strawberries inside, blue writing, and decoration for a male. The cake it self was moist but the strawberries inside were cut so small I could barely taste the them, there was so much whipcream on the inside and the outside that when I cut into the cake it was so messy that I had to keep cleaning my hands in-between each cut. I was so disappointed that my son immediately pointed out that the writing looked like a child decorated the cake. The supposed roses that were drawn on the cake were so huge that it took up too much space for the writing. I paid $42.00 for a 6-inch whipcream cake. I just moved to Vegas a couple of years, so I am not familiar with the nearby bakeries, but this 1 is definitely off my list. I was most disappointed because it was my son's special day and he traveled to celebrate his birthday with me and this was the cake that he was given. I looked at the pictures and reviews, and this place seemed like it would be fine, but absolutely not. I have definitely learned my purchasing supposed bakery cake lesson. I wish that I had taken a moment to take a picture of how sloppy every cake slice was once cut. I do have a picture of the actual cake, so show how sloppy the writing and decorations were. The worst $45 that I have ever spent on a cake. As a matter of fact, I have never paid that much for a...
Read moreStay away from this bakery if you can. I would even put 0 stars if its available. I fully paid my cake for my wedding which is supposed to be last year, then shut down happens, so we have to hold off my wedding, I called them and they assure me that they will still gonna do my cake when everything goes back to normal, but me being skeptical I called them how many times to ask for a letter stating what they said, so I would have some kind of evidence proving what they said just in case something happens but they refuse to give it to me and say that I can trust them, so I was like ok maybe they can be trusted. Then last week I went there to order another cake for my niece's 21st birthday and to also tell them that my wedding would be on July. All of a sudden they told me that because its a year already that my order was already voided and I they also told me that whatever I paid is never going to be refunded. So I argue with them about what they told me and explained that even my venue is not open yet so how am I suppose to do my wedding, then the baker came out and told me that to settle everything down he is gonna do my niece's cake for free, take note he was trying to do just a regular cake, but I told him that's not what I wanted and he ask me what cake I wanted, so I showed him the picture, and the cake was gorgeous but does not cost more than 400, but he told me in order for him to do the cake I have to pay extra, so I did just to get it done. Then yesterday when we took the cake, it does not look anything like the picture that I showed him, it was horrible. This is what they call...
Read moreCake World made the most DELICIOUS birthday cake I've ever eaten, for my toddler's Sesame Street themed bday party. Manuel worked with me to come up with a design to match our theme, and even added a hand-crafted sugar Elmo on top, which my daughter was so thrilled about! So the cake looked joyful, but the real kicker was that it TASTED AMAZING. The two layers of yellow cake were tall, soft, and light as a feather. The strawberries between the layers were fresh and perfectly ripe. The whipped cream frosting added the perfect sweetness--light and airy, a little decadent without being cloying. You could taste the care and attention to detail that went into this cake, and I have savored every slice of leftover cake we tucked into the fridge. I never thought I would say this of any cake or any bakery, but I can't wait until my birthday rolls around so I have an excuse to order another cake! I don't even celebrate my birthday most years. But this year I will, because CAKE! We're so lucky to have this gem in Las Vegas. Manuel helped me carry the cake to my car, which was very nice. And the price was very reasonable. I'm going to have to work to resist going in there regularly to buy slices. Please do yourself a favor and don't get your kid a grocery store cake. You might think no one cares about the cake, but when your guests taste this cake you'll realize what a difference it makes, and how much joy a real cake can bring. Obviously I can't say enough good things about...
