Barbacoa Hidalguense — Restaurant in Las Vegas

To start off. Service was the worst. Our server (glasses) was extremely rude when asking questions about portions. When asked even after we told her we had never been here she proceeded to tell us it’s the size of the salsa bowl, yet how are we suppose to know that with no previous knowledge. The barbacoa was more bland than water. The glass coke that was served to me had a good amount of rust on the rim. Overheard the cook tell her our food was ready but she wasnt going to serve it yet because she was still busy filling the chip container. Only after the cook elevated his voice to her did she agree to grab the food. Ordered a torta with chilaquiles and carnitas. Wasnt told they didnt have the carnitas till the dish was brought to the table , which defeats the whole purpose of me asking for it with carnitas caused i wanted the meat it. Food was bad but...

Food was good. BUT the service was horrible!! We waited a while for the menus……The consume was watered down!! More like garbanzo soup, they don’t clean the plates or cups how they are suppose to, all she did was in and out of water 🤢🤢 the utensils were dirty!! We had to ask multiple times for our utensils and for our drinks! The waitresses don’t know what they are doing, when we asked about a plate that we ordered we had to ask the 2 waitresses how much longer we had to wait and neither knew…… one finally said about 5min (yes just 5 min more after maybe a 25min wait). They bring everything out in parts, they don’t bring enough plates either. The barbacoa was cold by the time we started eating since everything came out in parts…. It says Barbacoa, so you would think to walk in order some barbacoa and eat. But NO I order a plate and was told they didn’t had any to serve, I order a second menu item and they didn’t had it again to serve (really frustrating) I ended up ordering a gordita, I’m sure they can do way better, and having there waitress trying to figure out where you’re coming from 😒 and telling you how the city of Vegas has been getting crazy with traffic and other news. Don’t get me wrong I know that’s part of her job to be polite but when you’re traveling 6 hours to get here the last thing you want to hear is how bad the city has been getting.
