I went to the Brass Fork early Sunday morning around 5:00 a.m. after a night out to try the specials I saw advertised on billboards on the highway. To get the discounted prices, customers must get a player's card from the kiosk across from the restaurant’s entrance by inserting their license, and it’s free. The discounted prices occur from midnight to 6:00 a.m. daily. I planned to order pancakes and eggs, but I added the Deuces Wild, which comes with sausage, your choice of toast, and hash browns. In hindsight, I would have stuck with the pancakes and eggs only because I wasn’t impressed with the Deuces Wild food items. I chuckled when I saw that the sausage had a (0) located next to it on the receipt. I said the sausage had to be a throw-in-for-free item because I didn’t like it at all. The pancakes were mammoth and tasty, and I would return for them. At 3.99, they provide excellent value. I had to get a to-go box to take the pancakes home. My server, Ana, was nice, and security patrolled around the parking garage and greeted me as I walked to my vehicle. I would return to try other specials and order pancakes. However, I would recommend steering clear of the Deuces Wild despite its low price tag.

Had dinning in this place quite a few times, the steaks were pretty tasty, especially the King Cut Prime Rib and New York Steak. The only thing that could be a mood killer is there are shot of staff members, every time we need to wait for approximately 30 minutes, and we went there about dinner peak times today, and there’re only about 5 staff members working in the restaurant including front desk and cashier, and they’re all too busy to handle and serve new customers, so we waited for about 40 minutes to sit down and have dinner, but the food there were so delicious and much better quality than the last time I went, so overall worth the wait! My husband had the King Cut, and that was so juicy and yummy (I didn’t get chance to take picture cause he ate too fast lol) I had the New York steak, and although it got little bit burnt out around the edges, it still tasted much better than before. The Prime Rib is definitely recommended to try, and there’re three size you could choose, King Cut is the largest. New update - we went for lunch yesterday again. Tried salads with salmon, and it was delicious 😋

Racially Charged Comments about your CoWorkers Inappropriate

We are frequent customers of the Grand CafĂ©. Today we went and sat at the bar the older Caucasian gentleman with glasses – his name starts with an “S” was working today along with Ed. Very disappointed in his behavior and comments about his coworkers and towards us – although towards the end he tried very hard to walk it back. We could have been from the Corporate office – he wouldn’t know. He was upset because we mentioned that the water and/or ice tasted metallic. You can see his frustration as he stared me down for 15 seconds lol. I asked for soft bacon and he brought back “brunt bacon”. No biggie. The concerning part with EVERYTHING – especially with what’s going on in the world - was his comments about his coworkers to us and partially to Ed. When I made mentioned of my burnt bacon- being that I asked for soft bacon - he blamed it on the Asian cook – he said the cook does not speak English at all and all the cook does is stare at him and does not understand him and he mentioned how frustrated he was with the cook. The way I see it – you are the waiter you know what we ordered – it is your job to examine the meal BEFORE it comes out. He made this comment in front of an Asian customer who was at the bar and a few others but he was speaking directly to us. Heck with those comments I was afraid to eat my food but I did and DEFINITELY DID NOT DRINK ANY BEVERAGES he brought from the back. I had to force him on several occasions to acknowledge my several “thank you’s” as he appeared to still be upset and wanted to ignored us but I did not allow him to. Next he complained about a “black girl “that works in the back who according to him shows favoritism. This guy’s entire “MO” is racially charged and angry. Mind you we are of color and he is saying this to where we can hear. We plan to no longer sit at the bar and just wait on a table so we don’t deal with his behavior. We always leave a NICE tip BUT we did not leave him one. Our tip to him is EVERYONE is entitled to a bad day BUT your comments about your coworkers’ - people of color - is not appropriate in the workplace. Your service to your customers should be priority. We are BOTH professionals and we don’t get the privilege to come into work and have an attitude against customers or coworkers. You are an adult conduct yourself as such in the workplace or call in. We did not need to know he race of the cook or if he could speak English. We did not need to hear the race of the girl who works in the back and how she takes care of other people's tickets first before others and how she shows favoritism. Poor Ed looked uncomfortable and was trying to stay on your good side and be neutral because he has to...

In all honesty, it's a okay place for breakfast. However, I'm not one to write reviews on places but today's experience just needs to be shared. My family and I have only visited this Cafe 3 times, the first two visits were doing well in all service, food, and atmosphere. It's normally quiet, clean and overall nice. But today, my family decided on The Brass Fork for breakfast today and I'm sad to say, it was extremely disappointing. The atmosphere was the same, but today's service was a little off, the amount of time we had to wait for our food was around half an hour, and the food was disgusting to say the least. I can understand that not all the food on the menu can be good but this was utterly disgusting. My father had the New York steak and I'm not sure you can call that steak, I'm not even sure it was a real peice of steak. It was kind of wrapped in ground beef then fried and topped with gravy. It was dry, chewy, and rubbery, it also had a weird aftertaste of cardboard. The eggs were soggy, it was very obvious they were microwaved and they were supposed to be scrambled, the best thing in that meal was the toast. I had the French onion steak and just by the looks of it, it looked unappealing. It was a ground beef patty with melted Swiss cheese over soggy garlic sourdough bread with mashed potatoes and broccoli on the side. It was all salty and flavorless. I only finished half my plate and had to down a whole cup of coffee and a cup of water to even get there. It's not possible that 2 out of the 3 meals at our table were disgusting. We had to buy some pastries when we paid the bill just to get that taste out of our mouths. If you decided to go to Brass Fork even after this review, please avoid these two dishes, I don't wish that flavor even on my worst enemy. I don't think we will be returning for a while but if we do, I'll stick to my safe dishes. Thank you for looking over my review if you did and if you didn't, I wish you well if you go...

Came here for breakfast and ordered the country fried steak first bite was SOUR I asked my party if I was the only one smelling it weird and they agreed that it was SOUR. Called over the waitress and she agreed the steak was SOUR and took it back to the kitchen asking if I’d like to order something else or the same meal. At this point I don’t want the same thing because of the bad taste in my mouth. I ordered another meal but at this point I’m pretty much dissatisfied. As I ask for the check I see the other meal is on my bill. I’d assume that with a SOUR meal served to me that the other choice would be complimentary. I was wrong. SANDRA THE MOD on duty was NOT helpful she said “but you ate it” server said the reason why the country fried steak was sour is because of blue cheese seasoning
when does country fried steak have blue cheese!!!! Server also said that the chef will open a new box!!! SANDRA SNICKERED AND LAUGHED. Did NOT HELP AT ALL WORSE BREAKFAST IVE EVER EXPERIENCED.

Needless to say but food was NOT taken off the bill. And blatantly told me the food was good NOT SOUR. Chef comes out and says we season our steak with buttermilk.. that could be the reason? WHEN IS BUTTER MILK SOUR??? When it’s bad. They were unprofessional unhelpful and idk if it’s the coffee or the bite of sour food but I’m pouring out my bowels like I have inflammation crohns disease. I hope some higher than...
