Burger King Complaint
I just want everyone to know this place treated me to THE SINGLE WORST fast food drive through experience of my whole life. For context I am 46 and I have been visiting drive throughs in one form or another for over 30 years. Yes, that isn't healthy, but that doesn't mean I don't deserve quality service EVERY time as a PAYING customer.
Anyway this experience. was so bad, so wrong, so unacceptable I was like shaking with rage when I pulled away. On Saturday 8/19 at 1:34pm PST, I pulled into the drive through and tried to order. There was only silence and a blank screen for like 2 minutes, so just as I was about to pull forward and order at the window, which would have been fine / no biggie, I hear a female voice (later found out this was Vivian) say hello. So I stayed and said "Hello, are you ready for my order?" She said HOLD ON and made me wait another minute or 2 (very rude) then said Go Ahead. I said I had a coupon from their app and told her my order (basically 2 junior sandwiches and 2 fries, and said I have the coupon number when you’re ready. More silence. After another minute of silence, I hear her say (wha???) “Can you get me some fries please”? So I figured she was talking to someone in the kitchen, but it was very rude of her to disengage from MY order. I said again “okay are you ready for my coupon code?” and she said okay. I gave her the coupon code and she said (correctly) oh that’s for 2 sandwiches and fries. But I had made modifications to it when ordering. She then says okay please tell me your order. I said didn’t you just hear me order a minute ago? She says nope. So I say okay please let me know when you’re ready. (I always say this to rude customer service people to clue them off they are wasting my time.) She said go ahead, I repeated my order AGAIN. I asked for extra pickles and mustard, and hold the ketchup. She then has the NERVE to say, “NO, we are going to give you the standard toppings.” Inside I’m like “oh no you didnt just go there”. But didn’t say that. I then asked her for her name and she’s like “No. I’m the manager. Pull forward.”. Okay so at this point she has already disrespected me, violated company policy which is to let the customer order what THEY want off the menu, NOT whatever the employee feels like giving them. And for a “Manager” to do that? UNACCEPTABLE!! BTW she NEVER put the order on the screen either. So I pull forward and wait like 10 more minutes as there are 4 cars in front of me (yup, they are busy screwing up THOSE orders first!) It took them so long to get to me that my coupon timed out (this happens on their app). Naturally I’m really steamed when I get to the window. There is this tall lanky white guy with brown hair and I give him my money and say “Please write down the district manager’s name and number for me.” Then he has the nerve to say “NO.” I’m like WHAT? And he gives me my food and says I can just call customer service. So I ask him who (da fuq) he is and he says he just works there and declines to give his name. I ask him who was at the speaker and he says Vivian. I ask for the district manager number 3 more times and he says no they refuse to give it to me. And despite all that - that wasn’t the end of it. You guessed it. Food poisoning. I got VERY sick from whatever they did to my food! Diarrhea all the next day.
I am writing this review to say DO NOT GO THERE EVER unless you want to get pissed off, mistreated and sick....
Read moreI have never been so disrespected and mistreated before. The “manager” Shanaa does not represent the company in the light that I would want my employees to be seen. I ordered 2 original chicken sandwiches through the app and paid through the app. My wife and I pull through the drive thru to pick up the food only to be told it isn’t available anymore, but the sandwiches are still being advertised on the menu. So I go inside and speak and greet and no one speaks back. The “manager” Shanaa comes to the register and asks what can she do for me. No greeting back? Okay. I let her know i was the one who placed the order through the app and didn’t understand why she was saying it wasn’t available but i see it on the menu and she says, “We just don’t have it.” Does not even try to help me find a resolution. So i ask her, “So what can be done?” She says, “You need to cancel the order.” I ask her where because there isn’t an option for that and she takes my phone and starts going through the app just to find out that she couldn’t cancel my order either. She says, “It says right here it is unavailable.” I said, “Mam, how was i able to order and pay if it is unavailable, wouldn’t it have been blocked? Why would it take my money?” She gets an attitude and tells me, “Oh well.” So mam as the manager what can we do to resolve this? She never tried to assist me. So i say, “can we just swap the order for two whopper jrs then since that offer is pretty much the same?” She walks AWAY FROM ME and tells the guys in the kitchen, “Make him two whopper jrs.” I say THANK YOU and she ignores me And walks away. Shanaa the “manager” doesn’t want to come back to give me the food and has someone in the drive thru give it to me, fine. I ask for ketchup and ranch and they say, “Do you have nuggets?” No i do not, you know that. “I have to charge you for the ranch.” Since when? I’ve come to this place many of times and have never been charged but okay how much? “27 cents.” Sure. I’ll be right back. I go back to the car to get the change and come back and give them the change and they say how many do you want. Just one. The “manager” Shanaa takes my change and starts talking under her breath (we have on masks mind you) so i ask her was she talking to me and she says, “Does it look like it?” and walks away and doesn’t hand me the ONE ranch i ask for, she goes in the office. The drive thru rep has to come back and give it to me. I leave and go to the car and my wife went in because she could see how tense i was, as I’m sitting in the car waiting MY WIFE COMES OUT SCREAMING AT THE MANAGER AND THE MANAGER IS TRYING TO FOLLOW HER OUT THE BUILDING WHILE MALES ARE FOLLOWING YELLING AT MY WIFE, “YOU BOTH CAN GET IT.” Are we serious!? Anyone with sense, take my heed, NEVER GO HERE! This BK on Durango will never get my business again and I do hope that something is done about this. Read moreIf I could give zero stars, I would. I've had several experiences of slow service at this particular Burger King, but the service I received today was particularly horrible.
My family and I arrived in the Drive-Thru line at 9:45 A.M., we pulled up to the Drive-Thru speaker at 9:48 A.M. After placing our order, we waited in the Drive-Thru line for 16 minutes before arriving at the window. Upon arrival, the employee read back our order incorrectly. He took another few minutes to speak with some of the other employees and figure out that our order was punched in wrong, but the food was, in fact, accurate. However, my receipt still showed the incorrect order. We finally received our food at 10:07 A.M. -- 19 minutes after ordering, and 22 minutes after arriving in the Drive-Thru line.
When we opened the wrappers, I was in shock that the food quality was so terrible and that all four sandwiches were so poorly constructed. All four of the breakfast sandwiches were so misaligned that the egg was actually hanging half off the bottom, and the tops were completely askew in the opposite direction. This would have been forgivable had the bacon not been nearly raw, and the rather under cooked biscuits completely crumbled into tiny bits the moment we each took our first bite.
I'm well aware that we were going through a drive-thru. I don't expect gourmet food from Burger King ... but I do expect a certain level of efficiency and edible food. After waiting 22 minutes (on a day we were in a hurry, and trying to grab a quick bite before running errands) we were presented with disgusting food that was shoddily presented. I will never again visit this particular Burger...
