I had received an offer in my Denny's for a "free coffee or soft drink with purchase of any Summer of Sandwiches Item". I visited my local Denny's (7071 W Craig Rd #101, Las Vegas, NV 89129) and ordered a Spicy Brisket Breakfast Melt and a soft drink. When I went to redeem my offer the cashier said that his system could not process the offer and that it looked to him that I had already used the offer. They did not honor the In App Offer and I feel cheated.
I have had several problems with having the Denny's store process my In App Offers and have left several times without being able to take advantage of offers. Very often the cashier will tell me that "they do not know anything about the app and that it is an issue with corporate" and that therefore I will "have to take it up with corporate."
It was my understanding that the In App Offers were intended to serve as incentives for a customer to visit Denny's. However, because of the consistent trouble the store has with processing the offers on their end, the offers are not incentivizing to remain loyal to Denny's. Since the manager and store employees claim to have no understanding of the app or how to process the In App Offers, there is a clear need for training them.
I have been a loyal Denny's customer for many, many years and I do not feel that I am being well treated or rewarded for my loyalty. If I can not successfully redeem the In App Offers, I leave the store frustrated and without the feeling that my loyalty matters to Denny's. UPDATE After Nancy Nava, Area Director of Operations, sent me a reply to my review, I called called Nancy and left 4 voicemail messages at the number she provided. As of this time (July 20th) I have yet to receive a reply from Nancy, so it would appear that Nancy's reply to my review was disingenuous. The fact that the Area Director of Operations has not taken the time to reply only accentuates that Denny's does not truly care about its customers and that Denny's continues to perpetuate the poor corporate culture. As a result, I HAVE NOT RETURNED TO DENNY'S and have chosen to spend my money at restaurants who treat their customers well and demonstrate true customer service. Denny's Rewards program is a joke and was a waste of my...
Read moreMy wife, daughter, and I went there for breakfast at around 10:30am on Saturday. We hadn't been to a Denny's in probably a couple of years at least, so we wanted to give them a try.
We were greeted and seated right away. We were offered drinks and given menu's right away by our friendly waiter. Our waiter checked back in on us several times in a matter of minutes to see if we were ready to order. This was the end of the good.
My daughter ordered egg whites, sausage, crispy bacon, and waffles. My wife and I ordered an omelette and hash browns. We all ordered a la carte biscuit and gravy.
They were not very busy, but it took a long time to get our food. They have a little robot that brings your food to the table, and the waiter follows the robot.
My daughter's plate was cold. Her sausage was cold sausage links. Her bacon was cold and not crispy at all. Her eggs were cold.
Our omelettes were the only things that were warm. Our gravy was not even warm.
We sent my daughter's food back to be recooked, and ate everything else, but we won't be going back.
When he first brought our biscuits, I was given a plate with 4 biscuit halves covered in gravy. My daughter was given a plate with a whole biscuit and gravy on the side, which is how she ordered it, but why one whole biscuit? My wife did not get her biscuit.
We called the waiter over and explained it to him, but he argued with my wife and pointed to my daughter's biscuit and gravy. My wife explained that that was our daughters biscuit. He then double checked the order and came back and acknowledged that she was right. He then brought her a plate with a biscuit with butter. Then, he brought her a biscuit cut in half covered with gravy and broken pieces of burnt sausage pieces. I'm the only one that got 2 biscuits cut in half for a total of 4 halves, and I didn't get sausage in my gravy. Very weird.
Anyway,we don't know if that's the norm for this location, or if we were just lucky, or if that's just Denny's these days. We haven't been to Denny's in quite some time. But we weren't impressed. We probably won't be going back if we...
Read moreChristmas dinner, didn't want to cook, so hubby and I ventured to Denny's. We walked in the door, they were seemingly busy, but not too busy for the service we received. I asked to sit at the counter, figuring if we were right in front of everyone, we'd be taken care of. We sat for about 15 min before a manager approached us and asked if we've been helped, when I answered, "no we've been waiting a while," she stated she could take our order. About 20 min later, she returned and I ordered the Turkey with dressing dinner. Of course, she advised, they had no stuffing and would substitute rice. I ordered anyway, explaining I didn't want rice but would like a side salad with ranch. She stated she would substitute the salad for the rice. Ok cool. About 20 min later my dinner comes and I ask about my salad, and she'd forgotten. About another 10 min, she brings my salad and hubby was waiting on his pumpkin pancakes. He's enjoying his eggs and Turkey bacon, then stops eating. I asked what's wrong and he said he was waiting for his pancakes. The manager finally comes back asking how everything was and hubby responds stating, "I'm not sure I'm waiting for my pancakes." She apologizes for forgetting and takes back his eggs, bacon and hashbrowns to give him a fresh plate. After sitting on the counter a while, he finally gets his pancakes and then 10 min later, the rest of his plate comes, along with refills of Dr. Pepper, finally after having to ask. I don't have pictures of his, but luckily he enjoyed his plate. My plate should've been Turkey, mashed potatoes with gravy, broccoli and cranberry sauce. I had everything except the cranberry sauce, including the rice I didn't want. By then I was done...... no cranberry sauce, no stuffing and the food was too salty. It took about another 15 min to get anyone's attention so we could pay our bill. In all that time, I listened to another manager keep complaining about her being off the clock, but was there to help out. I understand it being a holiday, but there's no excuse for horrible...
