I want to share my experience dining at Genting Palace. If you're looking for a place to satisfy your cravings for Chinese cuisine, this restaurant is worth a visit. The first thing that caught my attention and also pleasantly surprised me was the elegant decor and comfortable seating. The ambiance was perfect for a high end and opulent dinner. The staff were all friendly and attentive, making sure I had everything we needed throughout our meal. The service was impeccable, being in a competitive market of fine dining of Eastern culture in Las Vegas. The appetizer that was served before my order was amazing and it exploded with flavor in my mouth, sending me into a tornado of emotions. Let's discuss the cuisine. To start, I tried the shrimp wonton soup. It was delicious, with perfectly cooked wontons and a flavorful broth. Some might find it too strong, especially if they've had wonton soup before, but I enjoy pushing my taste buds. Next, I had the dim sum platter, which included black truffle dumplings filled with succulent lobster, scallops, and shrimp. These dumplings were shaped like charming orange boats. The har gow and siu mai were also delicious, enveloped in delicate artisan folds. I trust that you will relish the opportunity to sample these mouth-watering delights! I had the kirin-style crispy chicken as my main course, which is a variation of orange chicken and it was truly impressive. The chicken was lightly fried with a blend of sake and soy sauce, but what stood out was the tangy and refreshing orange flavor that gave the dish a unique taste. I also tried the Truffle Crab Meat Fried Rice for the first time and it was exquisite! The flavors were perfectly balanced and the crab was the star of the dish. The soy sauce, fish sauce, and Shaoxing wine were used sparingly to enhance the taste of the crab. The broccoli, scallion, butternut squash, and egg added a fresh and delightful flavor to the dish. I am eagerly looking forward to having it again! Both dishes were exceptional and I couldn't resist having more. It seems to me that Black Truffles was the theme of the dinner I had. For my final course, I made the decision to forego dessert. However, to my surprise, the exceptional staff presented me with chocolate mints, which was an incredibly considerate and generous gesture on their part. I would like to recommend Genting Palace to anyone who wants to indulge in a wonderful Chinese cuisine experience. The food, atmosphere, and service were all exceptional, and I'm excited to return for another visit.

Was super excited to enjoy an opulent dining experience. Great ambiance from the entrance and throughout. The staffs were friendly and attentive. The table setup was beautiful. I haven't seen 2 pairs of chopsticks ever but make sense. One for picking up dishes and the other to eat off your own plate. Yes they are expensive, no one goes into this restaurant assuming the panda express prices. Overpriced? Aren't that just about anything on the Vegas strip? Anyhow, we ordered the roast duck with mango, Australian lobster (they were out of Maine lobster) prepared the way we wanted (explained in later paragraph), seafood fried noodles, vegetable dish that was recommended which wasn't on the menu, and floating almond pudding with lychee sorbet. Everything was amazing. We had our complimentary octapus with thai sauce amuse bouche. The mango duck was succulent and the perfectly riped mango slices enhanced the flavor, cutting though the gaminess and fat of the duck meat and skin. The fried noodles had the wonderful wok aroma and perfectly cooked seafood. Happiness in every mouthful. The special veggie dish with 8 hour reduction sauce was unique and delicious. Pieces of morels, bamboo shoots, lotus roots and carrots arranged into a fan. The highlight for us was the lobster cooked Hong Kong or "sampan" style. Cut onto meaty chunks, deep fried with light coating, tossed in a light sauce chock full of crispy fried garlic, onions and chili (not spicy). The meat was fresh, sweet, juicy with crispy bits all over. We actually ended up with 2 desserts. One was the almond float with refreshing lychee sorbet. The other is the complimentary chocolates. Not everyday kinda place but definitely worth the price, tastes and experience.

Ate here with my dad last night, and had a really wonderful experience. We enjoyed the seafood buffet for $68 per person. Coming from New York, and having also tried buffets at many of casinos here in Vegas, I can confidently say that there is nowhere else that comes close in the quality of the food, or the service received for this price. Food: As other reviews mentioned, the variety of the dining selection is limited, but the quality is 2-3x of other buffets. High quality items including ayce raw oysters, sashimi scallops, lobster, roast pork, and peking duck. Any one of these dishes at restaurants may well individually cost $40+. There were free desserts included which were delicious (not too sweet - iykyk). The dessert plates were cold to help maintain the temperature of the food which was a nice touch. Service: The manager, Ching, and her team were all fantastic. From reception, seating, and dining through and through, we were well taken care of. Always someone nearby to provide service and clear plates, but without feeling like there's someone constantly checking on you (in a good way). The lady behind the buffet bar was also extremely nice, and did a good job maintaining the neatness and presentation of the food. Atmosphere: Cozy and well lit, the ambiance was great. Whether you're looking to impress a date, or enjoy a meal with family and friends, in my opinion the restaurant is a good fit for any occasion. Do be aware that there is a dress code (I would dress nicer for the restaurant), and avoid wearing slides/flip flops/baseball caps. One of the best dining experiences I had in Vegas, and will definitely return the next time I visit. Can't wait to recommend/bring friends back here as well.

It would be 0/5 if Yelp has this option! Getting Away from this Place is more than appropriate name for this place. Avoid this place at all cost, unless you really want to pay $18 for a bowl (8 oz) of mediocre lukewarm hot and sour soup beside bland entrees. Our total bill for 3 person was $317.69 included $50 tip. It was totally underwhelmed and overpriced for a place named Resorts World.

5/5: for decor since they have various shades of my favorite color, green.

2/3: for overall services. Our party of three came in for dinner on Thursday, 12/26. They were really pushing us for the seafood buffet, I couldn't recall if it's $50 or $60 per person. We didn't because the selection was limited and sad: mussel and escargot were on ice, no additional seafood of any kind. Other entries were mostly covered in sauce looking soggy due to sitting out for too long. We asked for soy sauce, chili oil, and chili paste since everything were so bland; we were half way through our food until these condiments came out after we reminded them twice. The place wasn't busy at all between 6-7:30pm.

1/5: for overall food quality and taste.

Sichuan Hot And Sour Soup, 18.00, 8oz: they didn't offer big bowl family style to share so we decided to only get a bowl to see if we liked it. I'm so glad we only got one. It's a crime to charge this much for 8oz of mediocre soup, even for a place located inside the casino on the strip!

Walnut Prawn, $42: 8 prawns, nice presentation with the dragon fruit. The coating was light and pleasantly soft hints of sweetness, yet lack of outer light crisp.

Pea Sprouts, $28: came out overcooked, yet cold at the same time. How ironic!

Short Ribs with five spices, $88: no taste whatsoever.

Truffle Fried Rice, $36: nice truffle flavored, yet so bland.

Honig Sauv Blanc Napa 375, $35.00: they treated us like we have no idea what wine is.

The individual bowl to eat is so deep, about 3.25 inch and smaller on the top that it was super challenging to got food out of it using chopsticks. It's such poor design and planning!

We understand the traditions of Cantonese cuisine are lighter and simpler in taste, yet, except the walnut prawn, all our food weren't bland and lacked seasoning.

We will not coming back for any reasons and will tell everyone we know to spend their money elsewhere.

You do have a walk quite a bit outside of the diner to...

Absolute Disappointment - GENTING PALACE in resort world Las Vegas.

At noon on 01/29/2023, my friends and I encountered the worst restaurant in more than ten years of Las Vegas business travel + vacation experience. GENTING PALACE in Resort World Las Vegas. 1.From the reception: three times delayed seating + the final 45mins of ultimate waiting. Total takes more than 2 hours back forward waiting. (During this period, it is not allowed to join the queuing system) 2.Asian buffet, was asked to sit in the bar area when a table was available. After asking to be moved to a table, the area waiter refused service, saying the waiter was still the bartender. (How selfish is your management? All waiters have no reasonable coordination requirements and consumption allocation) 3.The buffet was removed without notification, making the meal impossible to complete and adding to the poor experience. (Why host if you guys can't finish our meal time?) It only took 40mins from when we sat down to when we found out that there was no food. The whole service is just ineffective and rude, maybe this restaurant really has no shortage of customers.

We have tried the buffet at 8.88, the buffet at 18.88, the buffet at 38.88 or More. Each of these restaurants has its strengths and weaknesses. However, this 88.88/Person GENTING PALACE seems to absorb and produce the shortcomings from all restaurants.

If you are in Las Vegas for your trade show stay away from this restaurant unless your customers expect a bad experience. If you're hoping for a vacation, ask your family to find a better restaurant. Las Vegas has countless excellent restaurants and global cuisines, including of course this world's top junk restaurant.

The final suggestion to Resort World Las Vegas, your casino and hotels are currently high-level services. Please pay attention to other details and investment behaviors, some black sheep will cause great harm to a huge business empire.

Stay away from GENTING PALACE in resort world Las Vegas....
