Hi there my name is Michael Lawhorn. My friend and I went to The Adventure Dome around 4:00 in the afternoon on Tuesday, September 16th, 2025. I used to be a Las Vegas local. I moved out of town in 2020 during the pandemic. I have always been a frequent visitor of the Adventure Dome ever since I first visited Las Vegas 20 years ago. I have seen it go through many different changes whether it was the removal of the Rim Runner, or the various motion rides such as Pacific Rim and Elvira's Superstition. I have been on a weight loss journey and one of the things I've always wanted to do is ride the El Loco and the Canyon Blaster. In over 20 years I have never been able to accomplish such a thing. When I made my way over to the Adventure Dome on that day, on Tuesday, I was excited because I felt I had finally achieved a goal and I'll be able to enjoy both of these rides. Unfortunately that was not the case. It wasn't the case because of my weight, but rather because of the staff. I understand that times and things have changed dramatically in the world over the subsequent five years. I am completely well aware as a former local of Las Vegas that the city constantly changes by the minute. I can remember when you could use a MyVegas voucher for an all-day wristband or a single ride. I understand that as of now at the Adventure Dome it is strictly wristbands. When I went to the Dome I wanted to make sure I could fit on Canyon Blaster before I tried to purchase a wristband which would be good for the happy hour between 5:00 and 7:00 p.m. The right attendant that was stationed at the roller coaster was at first accommodating but then very rude. I wanted the front seat and he continuously argued with me that I should sit in another row. Luckily there was nobody in the station or waiting. I didn't see how this would be such a big deal with me trying to get confirmation before spending my money. He continuously rolled his eyes and said " fine! " when I insisted on trying out the front row. I sat down and was able to fit. He then proceeded to reassure the other attendance or supervisors (I'm not sure) that he was not going to let the ride go or let me ride. I was able to pull down on the restraint and it clicked into place. He then said " are you comfortable? " " are you sure you feel secure? " . While these are questions that people would normally ask in certain circumstances, his attitude and carelessness made me feel so uncomfortable I just left. After I got up and walked away I didn't even feel comfortable being in the Adventure Dome at all. Many of the ride attendants I noticed after the fact we're just kind of standing around and gossiping. I also noticed that a very large number of rides didn't even have attendants at them. The Swinging Ship and Disk-O had no one there. There weren't many places open for food in the dome either. The entire vibe and everything felt like it changed overnight from when I was last there. I was already upset at the fact that I couldn't purchase a single roller coaster ride ticket but even more so of the fact that I was practically shunned. I truthfully don't want to go back to this place now. What's the point of me spending money on a wristband if I can't do all the attractions and if I'm going to have to deal with rude ones that remain? I don't know what's going on at this place but something's got to change. And I'm most upset of the fact that I couldn't complete my goal by going on Canyon Blaster almost exclusively because of how I was treated. I certainly hope this reaches somebody and I hope to hear back just to get some peace of mind. Thank you very much....

Some things to know: Parking is free No masks are required Open daily from 10am to midnight They try and take your pic before the entrance but you can skip $30 for kids under 48" (which they do enforce) $60 for everyone else (small discounts for locals and service members; must show ID) They do offer a "Fast Pass" option for an additional cost, but I found with my daughter that it was not needed and can go on rides pretty quickly, sometimes with nobody waiting! Roller coaster ride pics start at $17+ for a photo in paper frame and can also get a digital copy of it. (If you want the photo but don’t want to carry around, ask for a paper receipt and you can turn in and buy later when you’re ready to leave the park)
The A/C is pumping in there, so unless you are always really cold, the temperature should be very comfortable. Wear comfy shoes because you will be walking around. -There are benches situated around the dome and usually close by the rides.
You can bring a backpack, insulated water bottle (no coolers) and snacks are fine as well. They will do a bag check before you can go in and might even use the metal detector wand. If you pack right, you can bring your own stuff to eat/drink and they won't care.
Lockers are excellent and very useful there! *Lockers downstairs across from the food area and restrooms allow you to rent a locker for the whole day (you set a pin) with in and out access. There are three different sizes: Standard: $4 Large: $6 Jumbo: $8 The lockers upstairs are scattered around but all of these are one size and meant for hourly use only. These are $1 an hour and can extend the time. There are lockers by the El Loco and also right next to the Canyon Blaster. If you plan on repeatedly going on these over and over again and you are a parent just hanging out waiting for your kid/s, these will be the fastest and easiest to work with.
They did renovate the food area and also put in a bar area for adults. Food prices average around $15 (+/-) and area is pretty clean. If you don't want to eat there, you can also eat at ne of the places on the same level outside of the park or can go to the first floor where they have a food court and some other places to eat.
Arcade games, laser tag and some of the other activities do cost extra and require you to purchase one of their game cards (similar to Dave & Busters if you are familiar with them) and just load up "tokens" on the card you get to play video games or carnival games.
You are also allowed to go in and out of the park with the wristband you will get so don't take it off. The park operators will also ask you to show your wristband to go on rides.
As a local, this place is always fun and you can count on a good night of sleep later...
Read moreThe Adventuredome is supposed to be a fun place to bring children. As a former VIP of Circus Circus years ago, I had the pleasure of coming to the AD. On June 24, 2023, I brought my twin grandsons. I bought two wrist bands so that the twins could enjoy the entire day. However, within a half-hour of purchasing the wrist bands, an incident happened on the Go Carts ride. As I suspected, the employee was not going to allow my grandsons on the ride, because of their height – which met the requirements since I previously checked. When it was their turn, the employee told them they were not able to get on the ride because they didn’t meet the requirements. I asked her how can she determine that, if she didn’t even measure them. The employee asked the boys to stand on the height chart, and realize they were good to go. Within 10 minutes, another employee came to relieve the first employee, but while they were there, I heard them talking about what transpired with my grandsons. When the ride concluded, the second employee, pulled both of my grandsons’ carts to the front, and suddenly, she pushed two GO CARTS directly behind my grandson, hurting him. My grandson’s head jolted forward on impact, having sustained chest and neck pain due to the seatbelt. I took pictures of both employees, and I made a complaint. I was told I would get a call from the Risk Management Department. I was also provided a card with contact numbers. I never received a call from them. I called and left voice messages weekly for months. In late November 2023, I finally spoke to the head of security, asked him why my calls weren’t being returned by Risk Management. The security took it upon himself to get me connected to Adriana Perez, Director of Risk Management. I asked her why my calls were being ignored. Her response was she never received them. I find that suspicious. I spoke to her about the incident. I told her to watch the video, since they have cameras. Adriana, watched the video, apologized and said she would be willing to provide me two wristbands for a future date. I declined, because the act was intentional and the injury of getting hit from behind was painful. Adriana, with a title of Director of Risk Management, decided to ignore my request. Again, I have e-mailed her and left voice messages for her and to date, 14 months later, nothing has been done. I wonder how the owner of the Adventuredome Phil Ruffin, would react that a child who wanted to spend the whole day at his theme park, was intentionally hurt and the so-called Director of Risk Management, Adriana Perez didn’t do a dam thing about it. I wasn’t able to upload the pics due to...
