I came with my family because we were celebrating the graduation and career move of my brother - we were all really happy and it was our first stop of the night. The bartender, Danielle, was targeting and harassing us since we stepped in. Several times she acted up:
The first time she was asking about my ID - it is an out-of-state ID (California) so I answered her questions and she brought me a drink . Seemed normal enough.
Five minutes later she came to me and asked me to move because "someone else was sitting where I was at" (I had been sitting there from the moment I got in - about 15 minutes). So I made a comment like "strange, I haven't seen anyone." I moved and she came over again and said I wasn't allowed to sit there because I wasn't playing the digital game at the spot. All of the seats at the bar have those games and no one was playing them - about 60% of the seats were open anyway. So I took the hint and silently grabbed my drink and sat in the dining area.
Then someone pulled my brother aside and told him that Danielle was telling everyone that I have a fake ID. So I went and asked Danielle for her name. She gave it to me and started shouting "tell my boss I say Hiiiiiiiiiii!"
The waitress, Kitty (nice lady), came over and asked what was going on. I explained the situation to her and then Kitty told me that Danielle refuses to serve us drinks anymore. Kitty offered us food and we opted to leave and pay the tab.
As I was leaving Danielle started yelling "Bye, Mary!" "Bye, Felicia" and muttering under her breath.
This behavior was so bizarre and trashy that I don't know what to make of it. I've never seen someone provoked for absolutely no reason.
Update (1.10.22): The owner is having his employees write reviews to manipulate the ratings. Danielle Hernandez submitted a review for the business but she us also a bartender who is the subject of a few negative reviews on here. I recommend treating your customers with respect, rather than trying to bury their...
Read moreLet's talk about an expirence tonight, One for the books. So I patronize Joey's often turning new friends to them all the time and I literally spend 100's of dollars a night when I go there. Tonight my bill came to about $100 then I tipped another $40. This is the lowest bill I have ever paid here $140. Typically the girls and I hit $300-$500 a night and we come often. Tonight I made a mistake and forgot to return the pool balls when we left thus leaving my ID with the bartenders. I felt terrible because we are usually really good about picking up after ourselves and leaving a place the way we found it. Tonight was a mishap and I completely spaced returning the balls and obtaining my ID back. I returned to the bar after realizing my error where a male bartender comes up and I explain my mishap. He immediately redponded to me with aggression and told me, "This is a business and it cost me $1!" Amongst other things he contnued to say revolving around this one dollar and not quietly may I add. Obviously I questioned why he didn't have access to the pool table key. Odd, no respnse to that and ultimately he refused to give me back my ID for a table already being played on unless I gave him $1. I obliged knowing in that moment I would never go back. I wasn't nasty but he felt the need to be. I hope the $1 was worth the thousands I have spent there and the fact I will now never go back. One bad apple spoils the bunch. Keep in mind I'm not upset about paying another dollar its upsetting how I was approached about it as if I was bankrupting the company with my $1 and the fact that I became the headliner of his show behind the bar....
Read moreSo tonight I went out to this bar and I had the weirdest experience. The waitress, Danielle, started out by asking me questions about my ID. I have an out-of-state ID so I answered her questions and ordered my drink. Seemed normal enough. Then she brought me a drink that had an old, brown lime in it(wrong order too). I didn't say anything because I'm celebrating something tonight and I was in a really good mood. She came back again and told me I was sitting in someone's spot, which I thought was weird because I'd been sitting there for 10 minutes at this point. So I moved to another spot and she told me I wasn't allowed to sit there either. So I just said okay and moved to a different area. Then someone else came to me and said that Danielle was telling others that my ID is fake.
I went to ask her for her name and she started shouting at me. She sent someone over to tell me that she will not serve drinks to me. I only had one drink at this point and our interactions did not warrant the behavior that she reacted with. This person is rude, disrespectful, and lacks customer service skills. She was also wearing a mesh mask that provides no barrier between saliva and food. So I'll also add...
