Just when we thought we found a new place close to home to enjoy watching sports while gambling, we were wrong! The first time we went, because we gambled the whole night, all our drinks were comped. We had such a great experience that we decided to go back again a second time. That second visit, even though we played all night just like our first visit, same bartenders were there, only one drink was comped and the charged us for the rest. When we questioned the charges, we were told by Zachary that one drink is comped for every $20 you play. I have never heard that before and I was born and raised in Las Vegas. How can thy justify that when a beer off the strip does not cost $20?!!! Not even on the strip does a beer cost $20! However even after that negative experience, we decided to go back a third time. This time there were different bartenders and again all our drinks were comped because we played all night. So we decided to go a fourth time, again Zachary was there and again we were told that we only get one comped drink per $20 we play. You also couldn’t ask him for help on the machines because he with attitude would say “I don’t know what to tell you” he is very rude and is the reason why we will...
Read moreWe like the PKWY food (tried it at the flamingo location, not this one). I was excited about this Centennial location! It has great décor, and all the TVs with sports are awesome, but I was really disappointed that there are so many seats at the bar that require gambling at this location. They have a few limited areas on the corners that aren't ideal for tv angles and they're awkwardly arranged.
Yes, I get it. It's Vegas and that's what they do here, but sometimes you want to sit at a bar and socialize, not sit by yourself, isolated at a table. Especially when you're flying solo. Not everyone is a gambler.
Overall the service is fine, but I rated three stars for service for this visit because even though the bar had 90% open seats, they wouldn't let me sit where I wanted because I didn't want to gamble. They'd rather have nobody sitting there than have a paying customer even though there's literally dozens of open gaming seats sitting idle. Quite disappointing.
My suggestion would be to open up some of the gaming spots when it's slow, or clear some of them out altogether to create a more social, friendly atmosphere. The area desperately needs a place regulars can enjoy...
Read moreDidn't try the Food. Went for an after work happy hour. Got ignored by the bartender for a while when I got there so went and sat at a table with my co-workers. Waitress came and took my beer order. 5 min later she came back and said they were out of it. She recommended another Hefeweizen. I said sure. She came back 5 min later and said they were out of it. Ordered a Firestone Walker 805 (thinking they must have it). She came back 5 min later...they didn't have it. They have a HUGE beer menu, but were out of EVERYTHING I ordered. Not a craft beer lovers place at all unless you drink Miller Lite from a bottle. I left after 30 minutes after having ZERO beers. I found the beer I wanted at a Terrible Herbst gas station and came home and enjoyed it. The bartender was just standing talking to 3 women at the end of the bar when I left....ignoring other customers too. The PKWY Tavern on 215/Flamingo is way better...they have never been out of the beer I've ordered. Get a new distributor or new manager that...
