A super fun, vibey space located inside Area15 with classic American fare and a phenomenal staff. I visited The Beast for a weekend lunch with a group of 6 people. We were the first guests to arrive at noon sharp, and they definitely rolled out all the fun and fanfare for us. Our server was super chipper and energetic, and the kitchen staff gave us a welcome whoop. We were seated at a long table in the center of the restaurant and got to work deciding on what to order. I settled on their Caesar salad with shrimp, a couple folks ordered burgers, one person got their salmon, and a few others split one of their giant Bavarian pretzels and nacho platters.
There was a lot of fun energy around each of the dishes. They finished the salmon with a bit of torching and melted butter at the tableside, which was super fun to watch. And the Bavarian pretzel was massive -- probably two times the size of my head -- and the nacho platter was the size of a cookie baking sheet. It was absolutely towering with loads of meat, black beans, corn salsa, and guacamole, and queso, and honestly was probably enough food for the entire table. The burgers each came with a spiralized and fried potato, which is such a fun twist on the classic side of fries. They stretch out the spiral as far as they could and then speared it on top of the burger, so the final plate stretched about a foot tall. Even the Caesar salad was absolutely massive, with a ton of grilled shrimp and the largest, crunchiest croutons.
While the presentation was super fun and the space vibey, I didn't think the food quite lived up to all the hype. The burgers and nachos were all pretty standard, and the salmon was a smidge overcooked and dry. It's hard to go wrong with a Caesar salad, but the croutons in the salad were far too dry, making them a bit painful to eat. The dish that did really impress me, though, was the Bavarian pretzel -- it was super soft and pillowy, and I loved the two dipping sauces it came with. The mustard sauce had a nice kick, and the beer cheese sauce was decadent and all around outstanding.
All in all, The Beast is a solid spot for a quick meal while visiting Area15. The staff is super friendly and the vibes are great, but the food is all...
Read moreDuring my recent visit to The Beast by Todd English in Area 15, I had the opportunity to indulge in their culinary offerings and soak in the ambiance of the establishment. While the experience was overall satisfactory, there were a few areas that stood out, including the decent food and a generally pleasant atmosphere. Our server, Omar (I believe was their name), also contributed to our dining experience with attentive service.
The food at The Beast by Todd English was enjoyable, albeit not exceptional. The menu offered a range of options, and the dishes we ordered were well-prepared and satisfying. While they may not have pushed the boundaries of culinary innovation, the flavors were well-balanced and the presentation was appealing.
In terms of the atmosphere, The Beast by Todd English provided a comfortable setting for our meal. The interior design and layout were visually appealing, contributing to a relaxed and enjoyable ambiance. The seating arrangements allowed for a sense of privacy while still allowing us to soak in the energy of the restaurant. It would have been even better if there were some additional elements to make the atmosphere more immersive or memorable. The high tables themselves were not comfortable whatsoever, so they were able to move us to a better seating area.
Our server, Omar, deserves recognition for his attentive service. He was prompt in taking our orders and ensured that our requests were met. Omar displayed professionalism and attentiveness throughout the meal, checking on us regularly and addressing any inquiries or concerns we had. His friendly demeanor contributed positively to our dining experience.
The Beast by Todd English in Area 15 provided a satisfactory dining experience with decent food and a pleasant atmosphere.

Read moreWorst service experience ever. Went with a group of 14 for my 30th birthday. We all flew in from different parts of the US to come here. I was torn between a few restaurants and heavily regret deciding on this one. The hostesses were very friendly, but our server was awful. He was rude and irritated by everything we did. Having been a server for several years, I understand how stressful a large party can be, but it doesn't excuse being treated the way we were. We tried to make it clear early we weren't all on 1 check, even stating which check to place a split appetizer when ordered. They use tablets to take your order, so they are able to split the check at the table verses taking notes and hoping you got it all right. He still got irritated with everyone trying to split checks. My husband tried to ask about doing anything for birthdays, and he rudely said, "I don't have a Pastry chef today. I don't know what I'm supposed to do" he came back a while later with ice cream which was super nice and he shrugged saying it was the best he could do. We wanted to forgive and forget after he did that but he still continued to be extremely rude and irrated with all of us. I can never bring myself to stiff another server, so I still tipped 25% but really feel like I shouldn't have. I know someone else in the party didn't tip and I'm usually extremely embarrassed when someone I'm with doesn't tip but I honestly can't blame them in this situation because the service was really that terrible. I can't honestly tell you how the food was because I could hardly eat any of it because the moral went down so bad. We later went to other restaurants with our group and I REALLY wish I would have celebrated my 30th with any other restaurant...
