Oh, man, where to begin? I guess with service, as Roger (backed up by Trevor and overheaded by Bobby) was the real deal. We were there for "Wagyu Wednesday." (More on that in a minute.)
We started with cocktails, both ordering the same martini. Perfect. Just perfect. We ordered the Wagyu pre fixe menu, having Caesar salads to start, the beef and mushrooms and snow peas, then followed with dessert (to go because we ere stuffed!). Everything was perfect. Our steak was cooked to order (medium rare, folks) and the sides were delicious. Even our bread service--which came during the cocktails--was great, with a variety of breads to choose from.
The salads were perfectly dressed and delicious. Even the anchovies were mild so they didn't overcome the rest of the salad. The steak had a delicious crust and was perfectly cooked. The mushrooms were delicious and the snow peas were better than we've ever had.
We had a bottle of Cabernet from the Rutherford region, and that was served at cellar temperature--and was delicious.
But, most of all, we felt like we were a prince and princess with the level of service from beginning to end. Not cloying, just genuinely warm and supportive.
We'll be back. (There's a veal parmigiana chop that's just...
Read moreWe kind of stumbled across this steakhouse at the Sun Coast Casino in Summerlin and drove from the strip. We really didn't have the time to go back to our hotel and change clothes for a more appropriate fine dining restaurant. We were looking for a steakhouse that served Chateaubriand. Called the restaurant and asked about dress code and they said to just come on in.
It is a fine dining steakhouse with excellent food, service, ambiance and price. Roger, our server was fantastic, the Manager Bobby took the time to chat with us and we had a great time.
My daughter and I had the full course. They started with a sampler cocktail to start. We both also had cocktail and wine. For appetizer - Oyster Rockefeller, Crab Cakes and Oyster on the half shell. Table side bread service with a selection to choose from, a great touch.
Entree, we ordered the Chateaubriand - rare with 3 sauces (classic bernaise and chimichurri was our faves) and asparagus. Cooked to perfection.
Thought we didn't have room for dessert but they had a Passion Fruit Creme Brulee. Couldn't pass that up.
Definitely worth the short 20-minute drive from the strip. Will definitely be back again in the future for Happy Hour and recommend to our...
Read moreSpur of the moment dining adventure because the Asian restaurant was closed. Glad they were (I've dined there before) and William B's Steakhouse was so much better. I know you can't compare.
Special shout out to Roger (hope that was his name) from Kauai who was our server. He was very personable and he chatted with us a bit too which made our dining experience a great one. Mahalo Roger for your genuine service. As Maile and I said, we will return.
Food: Crab Cakes Steak Frites Banana Cream Pie (Huge) Bread Service
The crab cakes were delicious. However, something needed to wake the dish up and luckily Roger was great to bring us sauces. He brought like an aioli and a vinegarette sauce and I preferred the vinegarette. The acidic taste / flavor woke that crab cake dish up. The steak on the other hand was flavorful and seasoned well. Tender and tasty. Really good.
Lastly, that Banana Cream pie is a MUST!!!
Overall, a great experience. We will return with our other half and dress more appropriately. Lol.
P.S. They would have gotten a 5 Star if that crab cake...
