Not impressed. The older lady there talked herself right out of my patronage. My family and I went to try their drinks. Referred by my coworker so we were excited to try them. We had the little one with us so she was touching the lollipops that they have right at the bottom to the right of the counter. She says to my 5 year old âdonât touch unless your going to buyâ. Like what is wrong with you? We were so disgusted we walked right out. It wasnât that serious. I was even going to buy the lollipop because I saw my little one eyeing them but the look on the ladyâs face I was appalled that someone would look at a child like that. We did go to the bakery in the same plaza though and that experience was a complete 180. This âbistroâ wonât ever get my business. And the older lady would benefit from a course in customer service. Old review: I love eating here. I just don't understand why your hours are to 6. The past couple times I came around 530, (my early off days) you are not here. I don't really like driving the opposite direction of my house for you guys to close early. If you don't want to be here, I really suggest changing your hours, at the very least on google.There's hardly ever a note to explain your absence, and the experience has put a sour taste in my mouth.    Read moreI found Huong's Bistro at the Saigon Food Festival where they had a little tent. I ordered a chicken banh mi and it was honestly delicious. A banh mi seems simple to make but there's actually a lot that goes into it. The bread has to be soft but also provide a nice texture, the pickled veg needs to give some acidity but not overpower and the chicken needs to be well-seasoned and cooked properly. It was all done very well here.
I didn't go into their restaurant but even in the tent at the food festival, I could tell the food was made and kept well. It was sanitary, well-labeled and you can tell the folks who work here have a lot of pride in their food and how they present it.
