The worst. Marlene is wotless. Seriously trying to be polite here but it’s just not gonna happen. It took 20 mins for drinks then 45 mins for her to tell us she was on the phone and she’ll be back to take our food order. We begged other servers to help but they said she already had a tab open. We paid for food and drinks separate. We hadn’t ordered food yet. Let that marinate unlike the duck we’ll get too later. There was 16 of us. Both a skill and will issue; meaning a lack of both. Rovin was on a cruise for 7 days then drove 38 mins in a Prius to get here next to Moty Automotive. He was furious. Music was good nice but got damn we gotta be better. Scorpion Shrimp was fire. Delicious. After we ordered food came out hella fast. Pepper was tasty. I make my own pepper sauce so trust me here. Duck was ok. Portions were good. Rovin said they were small but he had unlimited dining on the cruise so mans was eating 3 dinners a day with multiple entrees. Marlene if you’re reading this don’t feel Bad I started writing this while we were still waiting for food. I was hungry. Issues There needs to be proper structure when ordering... PICKUP and ORDER. The workers taking your orders seem have to have a sense of responsibility. Big up the one with the glasses. They call name out for orders and you can barely hear over the music, there needs to be balance... The wait was over 30 minutes, we were told 10. I asked others and they said its been progressively getting worse. After waiting so long, we discovered our order was taken by someone else! There is no order. They need to have an intercom to call out names and ask customers for their name to make sure it matches up. No checks or balances. I had to actually ask them for a bit of good will since we waited so long for our order and they gave me an extra paratha roti. This is the only reason why they have a bump in the service rating. The prices are Hella expensive, it's better you watch Matthew Guyanese Cooking and learn how to cook for cheap or Trini Cooking with Natasha if you looking for that sweet island vibes. I tried to contact the owner to be met with a very rude attitude. I don't know he was the owner but I am a bit shocked to say the least. My intentions are to bring out the best in the place. I was in Miami and decided to have some Trini food, this isn’t the first time ordering joys online since the year prior I had done the same. It was an hour drive but I really wanted some ok tasting trini food. Placed my order of over $100. So I get there and the girl behind the counter asked me if I ordered any drinks with my order I said No. She indicated if I did it would come in another bag, I said okay no drinks ordered. I also noticed a receipt was stapled onto my bag of food with a list of everything I ordered. So I guessed everything I ordered was in the bag. Since the lady only gave me one bag. I spent like 5 mins again buying some other stuff and it had one lady with attitude assisting me with the additional items. I paid and I left. 1 hour drive back I reach to my spot I was staying at, you know all the currants rolls and some other stuff I ordered not in the bag. So I call Joys and spoke to the same lady with all the attitude saying to me pastries like currants roll come in a separate bag… well I have to say I was upset because she herself told me only drinks come in a separate bag. She also told me I could not get a refund for the items I didn’t pick up. Well that left a bad taste in my mouth.
