Ensenada Turf & Grill – Baja Flavor Bombs with Serious Grill Game
This place is a hidden gem that deserves way more hype. Ensenada Turf & Grill is where you go when you want authentic Baja-style surf and turf with flavor that smacks—in the best way possible.
🌮 Tacos That Go Hard: I had the shrimp and carne asada tacos, and both were 🔥. Perfectly seasoned, grilled just right, and topped with fresh ingredients that actually taste fresh. Tortillas were soft but sturdy, and the salsas? They don’t play. You will want to try all of them. The shrimp had that buttery, garlicy sear, while the carne asada was juicy and smoky—no dry mystery meat here.
🥩 The Turf: Their grilled meats are the real deal. You can taste the char, the marinade, the hours of love. The portion sizes are generous, so come hungry. If they’ve got ribs or short rib on special, don’t skip them.
🍤 The Surf: The seafood is what makes this place shine. Not fishy, not soggy—just clean, fresh, perfectly grilled seafood with real Mexican coastal flavor. Think Ensenada meets backyard BBQ.
🌽 Sides: The elote and rice were flavorful and not just filler. You can tell they care about the full plate experience.
👨🍳 Service: Super friendly staff who seem proud of what they’re serving—and rightfully so. You get the feeling it’s a family-run operation or at least deeply rooted in passion for food.
🧼 Cleanliness: Spotless, even during the lunch rush. Tables get cleared quickly, and everything feels taken care of.
💸 Pricing: Very reasonable for the quality and quantity. You’re getting bold flavors and big portions without breaking the bank. Worth every penny.

Read moreMy amorcita, Emma has been literally driving me loco with her cravings for a "good fish taco". On the recommendation of a co-worker we decided to give Ensenada's Surf N Turf Grill a try. As a back story, the best fish tacos I have ever experienced just so happened to be from a street vendor in Ensenada, Mexico. I must say, that Ensenada's Surf N Turf Grill brought back some delicious memories!! I ordered 3 of the breaded Baja Tacos and was very impressed with quality, presentation, and most surprisingly, price! My amorcita, Emma ordered the shrimp ceviche with tostadas and a couple of grilled fish tacos. All I heard from her during the meal was yummy sounds punctuated with "algo muy delicioso"! 😋🥰 We both noticed that the restaurant had a steady stream of patrons from all ethnicities and socio-economic classes, and it is easy to see why. Excellent food with equally excellent pricing is a popular combination for all. Further, the service was friendly and prompt for such a busy and fast paced restaurant. A few words of caution, restaurant seating is limited as is restaurant parking, so take that into consideration. Emma and I are definitely planning many a return visit to try some of the other delicious looking items on the menu. I am sure there will be many more yummy sounds and "algo muy delicioso's" in our future dining experiences at Ensenada's Surf...
Read moreI really wish I had thought to take a picture but the food was well presented and neatly packaged to travel. We arrived home 14 min after receiving our meal and the burritos were still hot. I had read reviews before I went (this was my first visit) but found parking to be quite easy. I went around 6:15pm. There was a short wait in line and the food was pretty quick. I ordered 2 burritos and the ceviche. All was very flavorful but for big burritos like that, they really should offer 2 salsas instead of just one. There were also A LOT of beans. My husband and I both complained about this. I would ask for 1/2 the amount of beans next time. The Civeche de Camaron was perfect as is.... don't ever change a thing!! I would order this item over and over again. Perfect amount of onions and lime. Smaller shrimp chunks would have been good but the bigger ones give it more of a chew so that's nice too. The service though.... both the gentlemen I dealt with were so respectful and helpful. Especially with it being my first time. I suppose I've been conditioned to expect chips and salsa with my takeout so when I asked, the expeditor was pleasant and apologetic in explaining that they actually didn't have chips and salsa at all... only tostadas and different combinations of ceviche. I would recommend this place and visit there again...
